“He’s still on the phone, isn’t he?” Julien narrowed his eyes in suspicion. He shouted, annoyed, “Hang up, Julio, some things should be private.”

Richard picked up the phone. “I guess I’ll see you in a little while.”

“In this case, that may not be necessary. I’m going to sleep. It’s been a long day.” Julio yawned. He hung up the phone.

Richard put the phone down on the nightstand and turned to Julien. “You have to show me your wolf.”

“I have to undress, or I’ll rip my clothes.”

“So undress. We both have the same equipment.”

“I was so afraid you’d be angry. Do you want me, Richard?”

“Logically, do you think I would have called you if I didn’t?”

Julien quickly undressed; his body was buff and beautifully formed. The air shimmered around him. Instead of a man, there was a huge wolf with a white chest and a gray undercoat tipped with black ticking. Richard heard him in his mind.“We have loved many times before. I had just about given up on finding you this cycle. I love you so much. Your face may have changed, your eyes, your hair, but you’re still my angel.”The air shimmered again, and Julien stood again in front of him and put his robe back on.

“I guess Julio told you I have to call Armand.”

“Go call The Alpha. You worked faster than The Alpha did.” Richard hid his laughter.

“You’re a lot quicker on the uptake than Sean, but to be fair, you had Colin’s books.” Julien smiled.

“I also had a small assist from Julio. He always was my best friend. In the ten years after I lost him, I never found another I’d be willing to call a true friend, until I met you and the Mates.”

“Before I wake the house, will you kiss me, mon ange?” Julien’s eyes were alight with deep desire.

“Yes, I will, my love.”

Julien came over and cupped the back of Richard’s head then drew him close. The kiss was fierce, a claiming, and Richard was ready. Julien ran his tongue over the seam of Richard’s lips, and gently pried them open. His wolf’s silken tongue slipped inside Richard’s mouth. Electric shocks radiated along his nerve endings.Oh dear God. Julien nipped at Richard’s full bottom lip and ran his fingers through his thick wavy hair.

“Your hair feels softer than Mr. Abbott’s finest silk,” Julien whispered as he carded Richard’s curls with his fingers.

Richard moaned, kissing and licking Julien’s neck. He loved the taste of him. His wolf tasted of ripe peaches and smelled slightly of sweat.

Richard was not shy. He didn’t hesitate to open Julien’s robe and run his face over his chest hair. “I love your chest.”

Julien groaned. “I can’t let this progress any further without calling The Alpha.” He was breathing hard.

“You go ahead. I’ll still be here.”

“You should get dressed. Loup garou are very possessive. I’ll explain why later, and the other Mates will help.”

“Are Julio and I the only civilians?”

“No, Sean is a little more than half a wolf, but he didn’t know it until he found Armand. The others are all fully human. I’m going to my office to call The Alpha. Will you call Isabel and tell her we need the pastries and we’re going to have fifteen for breakfast plus sixteen Enforcers and sixteen Betas? She’ll know what to do. Here is the house phone. I meant to give it to you earlier. Everyone’s name is taped to the back with their number. Sometimes I get so stuck in my own head that I forget.”

Richard gave him a light kiss. “I’ll take care of Isabel, you call The Alpha.”

Julien cringed. It was after eleven.Well, all the others did this. At least they won’t have to convince my Richard to stay.He took the elevator to his second floor office.

He sat down behind his desk and picked up the landline. “La Marche residence, Pierre speaking.” He could hear Pierre yawning.

“Pierre, this is Alpha Bellaire.”

“Let me guess, your Mate knows, and you need the Alphas and the boys.”
