“Levi Alisson Bradley. Isn’t this his number?”
I squealed with excitement. “Mama Bazooka? OMG, I can’t believe I’m talking to you. I’m his boyfriend.”
Another pause.
“Alisson is not homosexual.”
“Yeah, we’re working on that.”
“I see. And how is that going for you?”
“Exhausting, to be honest,” I admitted. “Can you give me any advice? Levi is as stubborn as a bull.”
“I would love to, but it’s not my field of expertise. I’m a nun.”
I gasped. “Hold up! Aren’t Bazooka’s parents dead? How can you be his mother? And a nun too? Don’t you live in like… castles or something?”
The lady on the other side of the line giggled. “Convents, hun. And yes, his parents are deceased. I call him son because I consider him a son I will never have.”
“That’s nice,” I mused. “You don’t have any pictures of him as a baby, do you? I bet he was super cute.”
“What’s your name, hun?”
“I’m Lucius Zablonsky, but everyone calls me Luz.”
“I’m Sister Mary Katherine. Nice to meet you, Luz.”
“Me too, Sister. Oh… can I ask you a question?”
“Go ahead.”
“Do you think I will go to hell because I’m gay?”
“Of course not. God loves all his children. Who told you that?”
“My fath—”
Suddenly, the phone was ripped from my hand. Stormy gray eyes found mine, telling me that their owner was livid. Bazooka was also wet and naked, apart from a towel wrapped around his hips.
“Sorry about that, Mary,” he said into the phone, grabbing me by the throat and pinning me to the wall. “Luz is still growing up. He didn’t yet learn that he can’t play with sockets and stuff like that.”
I tried to wriggle out of his grip, but he held me tight.
“No, Mary, he’s not,” Bazooka said, glaring at me. “He’s just work.”
Not even a friend? I didn’t deserve that.
I wrapped my hand around his wrist and tried to free myself, but to no avail. He was too strong, and I had no weapons at my disposal. Well, I had one. Two, actually. Pluck and stupidity.
I put my hand on his chest, which was still wet from the shower, and slid it down to his belly. When I reached his belly button, Bazooka loosened his grip on my neck, as his eyes narrowed in suspicion. Holding his gaze, I moved my hand lower until I reached the towel. Lower still. When I felt his bulge undermy fingers, I gulped. Jesus H., he was big. I dragged my finger over the protruding length, which was impressive even in its flaccid state.
Something flashed through his eyes that told me I would soon regret this.
“Sorry, Mary, can I call you back?” Bazooka said, never taking his eyes off me. “There’s an urgent matter I need to take care of.”
When he hung up, I knew I had only a few moments to save myself. I reached for the towel wrapped around his hips and yanked it off him as he cursed under his breath. He tried to stop it from falling, while I started to run. Where?Anywhere.
I was in the hall and sprinting toward the bedroom when he grabbed me from behind. He dragged me into theroomuntil we both landed on the sofa. He ended up in a sitting position, and I sprawled out across his lap and turned on my belly. I was super uncomfortable, but it was the least of my worries.
