I put my hand on his waist and gave it a small caress.

“Tell me what you want, Luz. If you want them to be arrested, I’ll make it happen. If you want them to suffer, they will suffer. If you want them to disappear, they will disappear.”

After a while, Luz looked at me. His aquamarine eyes were filled with fear, anger, and everything else in between.

“Suffer?” he repeated, looking over his shoulder at the perps.

Four pairs of eyes widened in alarm.

“Or disappear?” Luz said in a tone that told me we were on the same page.

He walked up to the red-haired guy and pulled a sock out of his mouth. The guy coughed and wheezed, only to throw up all over himself.

“B-birth-day boy,” he mumbled when he got his breath back. “What’s going—”

Luz punched him in the face, only to hiss in pain, probably because his hand wasn’t used to throwing punches.

“Do you know who my father is?” the perp bit out, spitting out blood. “When he finds out about this, he will make sure you get what you deserve. Hell, he will fucking kill you all, you sons of bitches.”

I smirked. “Yeah, but to do that, Judge Sommers first has to find your body, doesn’t he?”

The red-haired asshole paled.

“Who are you?” he muttered. “Mob? Ripper’s squad? Not the fucking LD?”

“What’s the LD?” Maddox said, looking puzzled.

“Well, if you’re the LD, you can go fuck yourselves,” the chatty asshole sneered. “You can’t prove shit. In fact, from what I’ve heard, you wouldn’t be able to find the evidence if it bit you in the ass.”

“Prove?” Maddox said, laughing. “Why would we need proof when I personally saw you assaulting my pal over there? I swear on the Bible, Your Honor. This dickless excuse of a person was beating up the victim when I stumbled upon them in the parking lot. I saw the whole thing.”

“Speaking of,” Luz said through his teeth. “You also tried to stick your dick in me, you fucking would-be rapist.”

The toothless, soon-to-be-dead person scowled.

“Yeah, and you know what? It was the sweetest ass I ever saw. You would have been my bitch that night if it weren’t for that firetruck passing by.”

I pulled out my gun, cocked it, and aimed it at him when Maddox jumped out of bed.

“Nope,” he said, pushing me back. “Not here, not now, Bradley.”

“The sweetest ass you ever saw,” Luz said, hitting him in the nuts with his foot. “You bet, you fucking asshole.”

The guy collapsed to the floor, gasping for breath.

“I hope you never have children, mate,” Luz said and spat on him. “It serves you right for trying to rape someone, you sorry excuse for a human being.”

I walked up to Luz. “What do you want to do?”

He was pale in the face, but his eyes were filled with rage.

“Arrest them. Make sure they get a partner in the cell who will do to them what they tried to do to me.”

“My mates,” Maddox said, crouching next to the now mostly crying foursome. “Admit to the assault and the attempted rape. If you do that, the scary-looking dude with the gun will leave without putting a bullet in your brain. I will make the drugs, and the weapons go away as a show of good faith. Or we can call the uniforms, who are not in the habit of making deals because they don’t have the power. I have the power. What do you say? You have time to decide up to three, two…”

The red-haired asshole quickly nodded, just like his friends.

“Peachy. I will need it in writing. You know how to write, do you?”
