Saint chuckled, “Leave his ass there. He deserves it.”

Nuke growled, “We gotta get him up and to the clubhouse before Nola gets done.”

At once, they all seemed to move faster.

It was five weeks later that I jumped out of bed and raced to the bathroom.

My body hit the toilet, and I had the lid up just in time to vomit up everything that I had eaten the day before.

Gross.

So gross.

I felt Xander’s hands moving in my hair, as he pulled it back and rubbed small circles on my back.

When I was done retching, I flushed the toilet and took the wet washcloth he handed me and wiped my face.

Then I took the cup of mouthwash he handed me, swished it around, and then spit it out in the sink.

And when he moved to kiss me, I turned my head, just as his lips grazed my cheek, and hurriedly said, “Soraya has a virus that’s going around. I was near her all day yesterday. I don’t want you to get it.”

Then, with my last word spoken, I felt his fingers at my chin as he slowly applied pressure.

I turned my head and then he winked, “Wouldn’t be right for you to be sick and me not be right there with you.”

My entire body softened at his words.

And this time, I didn’t turn my head.

His lips gently caressed mine with the softest of touches.

And that... well... that led to me moaning in his mouth, and his hands coming to my ass to carefully lift me.

My ass hit the bathroom counter, and then I pulled my lips from his and asked, “Think this counter is the perfect height?”

He read the lust in my eyes and then winked, “Let’s find out.”

It would seem that the counter was indeed the perfect height.

Xander was gone on a run with the brothers the next morning, and he missed me retching in the toilet again.

And I knew.

I freaking knew.

Therefore, once I was sure I was done retching, I cleaned up and got ready.

Then I headed to the nearest pharmacy and bought a box.

Once back home, I pulled out the two tests in the box, read the instructions, and then did what I needed to do.

And the moment I placed the tests on the floor in front of me, I watched.

I didn’t have to wait long.
