My father had been in my life from newborn to the age of ten when he’d caught a murder charge. He killed a man that he once called his best friend for trying to touch me. I went to my father even though the man threatened our lives and told me not to. I was just grateful that my father believed everything that I said and protected me. Even though his lawyer argued that he was protecting me and that I was willing to testify to it, they didn’t care. All they cared about was the fact that my father had killed a police officer. A man that was supposed to protect and serve that had tried to take advantage of an innocent child.
“I miss him,” I said barely above a whisper as a tear slipped from my eye. “He doesn’t know about any of the changes in my life.”
“Why haven’t you talked to him?” JV asked as he thumbed away my tears.
I shrugged. “I don’t know. Granny said some kind of raid went on and we haven’t heard from him since. We don’t even know if he’s still alive.”
The tears had turned into a faucet by now. I always got so emotional when I talked about my dad. Before Javyous, he was the only man totrulylove me. Pharaoh cared more about being able to say that he had me. He didn’t do anything that was required to keep me. My father had always told me that a man that valued me would spend the rest of his life showing me how much.
“It’s okay, baby.” Javyous turned me to face him using his index finger under my chin. “I’m going to ask Cheryl to have the shit investigated for you.”
“She can do that?” I sniffled.
“Hell, her ass been doing everything else that I needed her to do.” He laughed. “Naw, she seems to know a lot of people in a lot of places, so I doubt she would fail me now.”
Smiling, I wiped away my tears and tossed my arms tightly around his neck. Every time I thought that there was nothing else he could do to make me love him more, he proved me wrong.
“Thank you, baby.”
“No thanks necessary.” He smiled and kissed my lips. “You always in a nigga business and shit, so the least that I could do is get in yours a little and help you out.”
The two of us shared a laugh then he fed me the double chocolate brownie that I had ordered. He was drinking so he declined dessert, but that didn’t stop him from licking and sucking the excess chocolate from the brownie and the ice cream from my lips.
After dinner when we were back in the car, I pulled the final two cards of the night from my purse. I smiled as I held them in front of him.
“Date night is still going?”
“Yep, this is the final act of the night.” I grinned. “Pick.”
I was excited for these because either of them would be a win for me. The first one was a simple foot massage for his wife, but the other was more his speed. He contemplated before snatching the one on the bottom.
A mischievous smile graced his face as he read the card then eyed me.
“Ay, my man, let up the privacy window for me,” he called out to the driver.
When it was all the way up, he yanked me into his lap.
“Yo’ freaky ass.” He grinned and kissed my collarbone.
“I thought you’d choose the other one.” I playfully pouted.
“What it say?” he asked as he lifted it to read it. “I got you baby, but I need this first.”
He reached under my dress and ripped my thong.
“JV,” I screeched. “That was one of my favorite pairs.”
“I’ll buy you more, lift up.”
I lifted to allow him room to remove himself from his slacks. Once he was free, he slowly lowered me onto his pole.
“Baby,” I moaned. “What if he can see?”
“Then we need to put on a good show.” He smirked and started to move in and out of me.
I guess he was right. It was too late if the driver could see, so we may as well put on a good show.
