The drive home in Jamie’s black Peugeot was a quiet one. Not uncomfortably so but quiet all the same. I was still feeling a little raw after our conversation at Paddy’s and Jamie seemed deep in thought too.

We pulled up at my house and I could see Rob had left the porch light on for me, illuminating our pink front door. The little meddler. He’d be getting a piece of my mind when I got my hands on him tomorrow, that was for sure. It wasn’t enough that he’d been pestering me on an almost daily basis to call Jamie for the past two weeks. I supposed I shouldn’t have been surprised by his antics after all of that.

I knew it came from a good place though. Rob knew me and he knew I was struggling with the whole Nick thing. He thought Jamie would provide the perfection distraction for me. And maybe he was right about that.

I was as surprised as Jamie had clearly been when I had walked into Paddy’s earlier tonight and found him sitting there at the front bar, all on his own. I couldn’t exactly say it had been an unwelcome surprise either and that reaction of mine was more of the surprise than anything else. The fact that I’d been somehow pleased to see him. I’d forgotten the effect he hadon me the last time we were together. How nice he was. How alluring.

Looking at him now as he sat in the front seat beside me I couldn’t help but think maybe Rob was on to something.

Jamie really was nice to look at. And he was kind too. I’d literally just told him I was all but in love with my best friend and he’d been so nice about it. Not all judgmental and huffy like I’d half expected. A lot of guys didn’t like their egos being bruised when you mentioned you were in love with someone else.

Jamie hesitated for only a second before he opened his door and moved around the car to open mine for me. Just like he’d done the last time we’d been here.

“Oh, I didn’t expect …” I started as he waited for me.

“That’s just how I was raised, Mateo,” he replied with a sweet smile. A sweet smile from those nice lips that I’d had a recent taste of.

If I recalled correctly, this was exactly how our last night together had started with him walking me to my front door like the gentleman he was. Before he had turned a little, shall we say, lessgentlemanly.

I turned to face him as we reached the verandah steps and I could see that he meant to leave me here. Which was definitely for the best. I was still a mess in my head over Nick, and Jamie deserved better than somebody who would sleep with him and not call him again even after he’d left his phone number.

“Goodnight, Mateo,” Jamie said.

“Yeah. Goodnight,” I replied. Jamie didn’t move and I found I was having the same trouble, neither of us willing to breaking from our little moment and look away. Like our feet had been glued to the verandah steps. Was he having the same thoughts as me? The ones that were being directed by something other than my brain as I felt my dick start to thicken.

Jamie’s eyes dropped to my lips just as mine did to his. I remembered what those lips had tasted like both on my mouth and wrapped around my cock as that appendage firmed even more at the memory.

I broke the impasse, stepping towards him and winding my hand around his nape as I brought those lips down to mine. He didn’t hesitate, his mouth crashing against mine as his hands came around my hips.

I moaned into his mouth and he tightened his grip, pulling our hips taut and letting me feel the welcome hardness of him brush against me. He wanted me too.

“What do you do to me, Mateo?” Jamie groaned, mouth skating down my jaw to my neck. “It’s like you’ve cast a spell over me.”

“Ditto,” I moaned back, head tipped to the side as he kissed that soft part of my neck beside my ear, mouth sucking lightly on my skin. “Careful you don’t mark me.”

“No?”

“It’s in my contract. No marks,” I breathed, wondering what nonsense I was spewing and why I had chosen now to recite the legal terms of my Elite agreement.

“Your modelling contract?” he asked, grinning against my skin as he softened his mouth.

“Yeah,” I replied. “No bite marks, no hickeys, no scratches, no love marks of a sexual nature.”

“That’s cruel.”

“It can be,” I agreed as he found that spot by my ear and I trembled. “Do you, um …”

“Yes. I do want to come inside, Mateo,” Jamie replied, tightening our hips together until it was all I could do to grind back for a little relief.

“Come then,” I said, having just enough presence of mind to realise I was once again kissing this man out in the open. Whatwas it with me and this paramedic? I hadn’t even ever felt the need to kiss Nick in this way but it seemed I couldn’t keep my hands to myself whenever Jamie was on my front porch step.

“That’s certainly the plan,” he replied, nipping my earlobe before I extracted myself from him. I was hard and aching and slightly mindless with lust as I opened our pink front door with shaky hands. I caught Jamie’s eye, motioning to follow as we quietly made our way past Rob’s door and down the hall to my bedroom.

Jamie had me up against the door the minute it was closed behind us and I relished the feel of his big, firm body pressing my imprint into the doorframe. There was nothing I loved more than being manhandled by a bigger body and Jamie was very good at manhandling.

“Fuck you’re hot,” he breathed, hand snaking between us to grip onto my cock, straining against my pants. He managed to pop open my button and squeeze his hand into my briefs but that wasn’t enough. There wasn’t enough room for him to do more than rub and I needed more than that. Much more.

“Hurry up and get me naked,” I demanded, watching as his eyes lit up at my command. One that he was more than happy to comply with. He stripped me down until I was standing there before him, hard and leaking and desperate as his eyes roved over my body, appreciation in his gaze.
