His shock gave way to another flare of heat in his eyes, and I tensed as he brought his mouth down to my body again. An involuntary groan was pulled from me as he cleaned me up. I would still need to wipe down with the towel, but it had been a long time since someone had been dedicated to cleaning up a cum mess...though it was the first time it was their own cum they were cleaning up, so that was different.
“Well...” I began, clearing my throat. “That was different.”
“In the mood for something else different?”
“Not sure. My recovery time is longer than five minutes.”
He snorted, leaning forward and grabbing the back of my head to kiss me. It was true he had asked permission first, but there was no denying the act was assertive, bordering on aggressive. I wasn’t surprised to find I liked it; aggressive partners had always been my thing, probably why Eva lasted the longest with me. Having it be Milo was...well, different, of course, all of it was, but it wasn’t surprising either. He had always been bold and forward, so I wasn’t surprised to find out he was the same way when he got riled up.
It was also very nice to know.
“So,” he began, pulling back and watching me carefully. I could see the worry coming back now he was no longer in the midst of being turned on. “What, uh?—”
“See, I know where you’re going with this,” I said, wiping myself off properly. “You’re going to ask what we’re supposed to do now.”
“Pretty much, yeah.”
“And I’m going to suggest we get up, clean ourselves off, get another drink, and keep playing games until we eat again and pass out because we stayed up too late.”
“Just...act normal?”
“I mean, we both know I need to think about all this, not in a bad way, just so you know. But we also know that your first reactions to something that causes a strong emotion aren’t always the reactions you want. So yeah, we have a normal night, giving me a chance to do some thinking and you a chance to get your head on straight.”
“I’m kinda torn between making a joke about my head, and hating that I’m going to agree with you.”
“And you decided to split the middle and do both in a half ass way,” I said with a laugh, pushing to my feet and helping him up. “I’m going to get a new shirt. You make us more drinks. And by the way, your head was in fact great.”
“Good to know,” he said, and I could tell he was trying for casual, but I could hear the fight not to smile in his voice.
I took my time grabbing a new shirt because I knew he would need a little time to get himself under control. Now he was no longer riding through the fog of being turned on; he was going to struggle not to freak out, and while I could usually help with that, my presence might make it worse. It would only take a few minutes, enough for me to pretend I got distracted by my phone.
As for his inevitable question about what it meant for the future, we would have to figure that out.
Knowing how impatient Milo could be when he wanted something, I would bet that I’d have a few days at most to figure out how I felt about it.
But tonight, I was going to feel sated, both in curiosity and body, so that was good enough for now.
MILO
“Would youpleasestop twitching?” Moira asked with a grouchy stare.
“I’m not twitching,” I said, sticking my tongue out because if I suddenly displayed any real maturity, my family would wonder what was wrong...more than they usually did. I was already worried they were figuring outsomethingwas up. That thing was sitting on my other side at the dinner table, as cool as a goddamn cucumber. As if he, my stepbrother, had not in fact had his dick in my mouth a few days earlier, and since then we had continued as normal, even though absolutely nothing was normal about us anymore.
“Mmm, you’re a little twitchy,” Eli said, glancing at me as he sipped his drink. It was something Mason had given to him at the start of the family dinner. I didn’t know what was in it, but I guessed it was pretty strong, knowing how heavy Mason tended to pour. He also got a lot of pleasure from coming up with a drink for everyone, which he felt was the perfect fit. He was actually damn good at it, which was why I was on my second one but pacing myself to make sure I didn’t get too far into the bottle. The last thing I needed was to lose my head.
“I can’t imagine why I would have a reason to be twitchy,” I said brightly to show I wasn’t being sarcastic because damn it, yes, I could see exactly why I was being so twitchy.
“You didn’t switch to decaf like I advised,” Arlo said with a sigh as he held out his plate to accept the slice of pie our mom was doling out.
“I haven’t had caffeine today,” I said, and then remembered the energy drink. “For several hours, I mean.”
“Probably a good thing, you’ve been bouncing all over the place. Any caffeine right now and you might vibrate into another dimension,” Dom said, already digging into his sizable piece of pie.
“I don’t see how that’s different from any other time,” Jace added, and I glared at him. I had zero problem with his inclusion at the family dinners; he had been with Mason long enough that he deserved to suffer at the hands of the rest of the family. I didn’t like that he’d picked up Mason’s ‘sense of humor’ along the way and clearly thought I needed to be bullied.
“All of you can kiss my ass,” I muttered, shoving my fork into a slice of pie and shoveling it into my mouth.
Eli chuckled. “He’s a little sensitive today.”
