“…But you will?”
“I would for West or Lake.”
“Why?” Nix held up a hand. “Don’t say to please me.”
“Maybe it’s also to please them? I don’t know. They’re both too into control to give that up and would never agree to bottoming.”
“Pot calling the kettle black.”
He snorted. “On the control part, sure. But it’s not that I don’t like bottoming, I do. I’ve done it with other guys before.”
“You haven’t with me.”
“Is that something you want?”
“No.” Nix really didn’t. “I enjoy things the way they are.” Which reminded him of that earlier heat he’d been feeling. Shamelessly, he took a step closer, moving into Yejun’s personal space with ease. “But maybe you could show me again how it is between us. Remind me why my cousin thinks I lost my mind, and I gave in to you in the end.”
Yejun faltered, grabbing Nix’s hand when he reached for his belt buckle. “Are you sure? Please don’t tease me. Maybe it would be best if you took it easy today, yeah? You’ve been through a lot. Anyone else—”
“I’m not anyone else,” he stated. “I’m me. And I want your cock inside of me and your mouth on mine. Is that a problem, June?”
The nickname seemed to throw him, but he recovered quickly and vehemently shook his head. “No. No, absolutely not.”
“Good. Then take your clothes off and let’s do this.”
“Here?” His head whipped around, and even though they were alone, his meaning was clear.
“Why not? We’re at the back of the Roost. No one can see us.”The back porch was surrounded by parts of the house, blocking off sight from all angles.
“Your cousin is right upstairs.”
“He won’t come down.”
“You don’t know that.”
“I do,” he insisted. “Briant is too uncomfortable here, and with you three, to risk roaming around on his own, especially at night. Even if he wakes up for some reason, he’ll wait for me to come back. Trust me.”
Nix was positive, he wouldn’t be suggesting this otherwise. His cousin had also been through enough; he didn’t need to add walking in on Nix getting screwed by a Demon to the list.
He took Yejun’s hand and stepped further out onto the patio, the wind and mist slapping against his skin. “Come on. Fuck me. Show me I’m yours. Show me you want me.”
Nix wouldn’t blame Yejun if he was mad at him, not this time, but he didn’t want to get into that part of things. Not when he was too desperate to get those hands and that hot tongue on his body. He needed something tangible to help chase away the phantoms that had haunted him all day. Needed something to ground him and bring him back to the present, so he could stop circling the past and the various mistakes he’d made there.
What he’d said earlier could apply to everything. Things couldn’t be undone. It was too late.
“Be rough about it,” he continued as he hastily tore off Yejun’s belt. “Make me scream loud enough they’ll hear it all the way up in the Club House.”
They couldn’t really see it from this angle, but they knew it was up there, built into the side of the mountain, lording over them and the rest of the city. But not for long. Soon, Lake would take control of the crown and the Order. He’d get all of it under control, and none of them would have to worry about anything again. They just had to make it that far.
“Nix,” for a moment, Yejun looked like he wanted to refuse him, but then a shift came over him, and he tore his shirt over his head and tossed it into a puddle nearby. “Strip, Firebird. Let me see that tight body.”
“Do you seduce everyone with that stellar line,” he teased as he stepped out of his pants, “or am I special?”
“You’re so special, I’ll never seduce anyone else ever again.”
“You'd better keep your word.”
“I will. I’ll do anything for you, Nix. Anything.”
