The walls have been painted in earthy colors of green and cream, making the room feel bright and airy, with matching covers on the bed and curtains on the windows.
“As comfy as the cinema room has been, we thought a more permanent solution was needed,” Kai explains, watching me closely as I walk around the room, brushing my fingers over the sliding robes and throw pillows on the bed.
I notice knickknacks from my old apartment—photos of me and Hadley, my degree certificate, mementos from holidays—all placed around the room, along with all my books from my old apartment stacked in a bookcase in the corner of the room.
The entire scene leaves me speechless as I continue to walk around, drinking in everything and unable to believe they did all of this for me.
“Of course,” Hawk blurts in the wake of my silence, “if you want to be alone, that’s cool too. Wilder and I have our own rooms, and we can set up a spare bed in one of the rooms in the basement for Kai.”
Lifting my gaze from the picture of all of us from the bowling alley the other day that’s been placed on the nightstand, I take a moment to look at each of my guys, before stating, “I don’t want to sleep alone anymore. I like when we are all together. Just didn’t think you’d all want to sleep in the same bed.”
Hawk steps forward, pinching my chin between his thumb and finger. “Little Sparrow, you should know by now that we’d do anything for you.”
Happy tears sting my eyes as a wobbly smile brightens my face. When Hawk drops his hand, I spin on the spot, taking in the room all over again. “I can’t believe you did this for me. How did you do all this in one day? And how did you get my things from Springview?”
Hawk wraps his arms around me from behind, resting his chin on my shoulder as he hauls me in against him. “We had some help from the guys. It still needs touching up in places, and the paint is still drying, but we wanted it as finished as possible for you. After you quit your job, Kai got all your belongings boxed up and shipped here. It’s all been sitting in the basement until we had a chance to do this.”
“How long have you been planning this?”
I feel Hawk’s smile against my skin. “Pretty much since those two idiots pulled their heads out of their asses, though we didn’t want to rush you or us. It was important that we were all on the same page, but after you mentioned that you didn’t feel like the schedule was working, I knew you were ready. We just needed to find the time and an excuse to get you out of the house.”
He presses a kiss to my forehead and I melt into his touch, unable to suppress my grin as overwhelming love hums through my body.
“Can we sleep in it tonight?” I ask excitedly.
“We can. Just give it a few more hours to dry.”
Wilder hoots as he dives onto the bed. “Then we can take this baby for a test drive. See if she can hold up as well as Cam claims.”
“Dude, what the fuck?!” Hawk snarls, stepping past me to kick Wilder’s shin. “I do not need that fucking image in my head! God, where’s the bleach?” He storms toward the stairs, probably away tobleachhis brain with whiskey, while Wilder shrugs, not the least bit sorry, and Kai smothers a laugh.
“What?” Wilder says, all faux-innocence once Hawk has stomped down the stairs. “The brand came highly recommended. Not my fault that recommendation came from someone his sister is fucking.”
“Oh my god, Wilder,” I chastise with a laugh.
He pushes upright, reaching out to grab me and yanking me down onto the mattress beside him. “Wanna try her out?” he asks, wagging his brows.
“I think the paint fumes have gone to your head,” I tease, allowing him to cage me in with his lean frame.
“Definitely not the fumes that have gone to my head,” he mutters in a low, husky voice, before slanting his lips over mine.
“Dude,” Kai calls, chucking something at Wilder that has him pulling back with a snarl. “Not until the paint dries, remember?”
Wilder huffs a frustrated breath, looking like a toddler who's been told he can’t have dessert until he’s eaten all his peas.
“Fine. No sexon the new beduntil the paint dries. We said nothing about sex elsewhere in the house, though.”
Kai simply rolls his eyes, knowing better than to argue with Wilder. “True, but youdidagree to help me take all this crap to the dump, so off your ass.”
Grumbling under his breath, Wilder quickly kisses my lips before scooching off the bed.
“Don’t stay up here too long, Blackbird,” Kai calls before the two of them disappear down the stairs, leaving me alone in my brand new room with the biggest grin on my face and feeling as though my heart is so full it’s about to explode right out of my chest.

When I skipdown the stairs a while later in search of Hawk, I find him in the home gym wearing only a pair of loose basketball shorts and sweat sheening along his skin as he drives his fist into a punching bag.
I stand and watch him for a long moment, drinking in every inch of his sculpted skin. Every part of Hawk has been carefully honed into a weapon, and his defined muscles are a sight to behold.
