“What the fuck is it doing in the trash?” Kai asks, putting words to my exact thoughts as he glowers at Wilder. Even Hawk has lifted his head from his iPad to witness the impending confrontation.

Freezing me in place with the full weight of his stare, Wilder says with such nonchalance that it takes me a second to compute, “I put it there.”

Pancakes abandoned, Kai tosses down his spatula and stomps over to Wilder. “And why the fuck would you put it in the trash?” He’s practically seething, his hands repeatedly clenching as he holds back the urge to go apeshit on Wilder’s ass on my behalf.

Meanwhile, Hawk is no longer looking at Wilder but rather staring directly at me. Turning to look at him, his eyes are directed at my stomach, which I realize I’m still clutching. The intensity of his focus steals my breath. Carnal possession burns in his gray depths, and he stares at me as though I hold his entire future in the palm of my hands. It’s intoxicating and terrifying all at once.

“Wilder,” Kai snarls, regaining my attention. “Why would you put it in the trash?”

“We don’t need it if we’re having a baby.”

I swear my brain blanks out at those words, and I’m left blinking dumbly at Wilder.

A baby.

He wants to have a baby.

Mybaby.

From the depths of my memories, I recall our discussion from the bowling alley last week.

“I wantyourkids.Ourkids. I don’t care if they have Hawk’s awful temper or Kai’s ridiculous Henry Cavil looks—Although, I do think a little brown-haired, brown-eyed Wilder Jr. would be the perfect addition to our family.”

It was right after that that I noticed the pills were missing. I thought I’d just misplaced them and was on the verge of giving up searching and ordering a new pack when everything went to shit. Then I completely forgot all about it.

The entire room is shocked into silence at Wilder’s confession.

“You want a baby?” I squeak.

“I wantyourbaby,” he corrects, his words an echo of what he said last week.

“I’m sorry, did I miss the meeting where we all agreed we were having a baby?” Kai snarls, staring at Wilder as though he’s two seconds away from ripping his spinal cord out.

I must have missed that meeting too.

“Oh, come on,” Wilder argues back, utterly unfazed by Kai’s murderous glare. “Don’t tell me you don’t want one with Emilia.” Wilder pushes to his feet, ready to go toe-to-toe with Kai. “Emilia isitfor me. I want all of it with her, and the sooner, the better. If that’s not what you want, then perhaps you need to reconsider your role in this relationship.”

In a flash, Kai snatches his arm out and wraps his hand in the front of Wilder’s t-shirt.

“Listen here, you little shit,” he snarls. “Don’t you ever fucking question my love for Emilia. She’s my everything, my entire future. And when we’veallfucking agreed on having kids, thenI’ll happily fill her so full of my seed that there’ll be no doubt in my mind that she’s pregnant with my kid.”

Holy… Why does that sound so freaking hot? And why are my ovaries squealing for him to do exactly that?

Hawk slides off his stool and moves to stand behind me. His hands reach around to rest over the flat planes of my abdomen. I can feel the hard outline of his cock straining through the fabric of his sweats. “I want your babies,” he purrs huskily in my ear. “I want to watch your stomach swell, knowing it’s our baby in there.”

“You’re insane,” I croak, still struggling to wrap my head around all of this.

Hawk is more than used to Wilder’s brand of crazy, which is probably why this isn’t such a shock to him. However, while Kai and Wilder have blatantly stated their desire to procreate with me, Hawk has said no such thing until now.

“Maybe so, but that doesn’t mean I’m not all in when it comes to you. The house, the wedding, a caravan of kids—the whole nine yards.”

“Acaravanof kids?” My voice is barely more than a screech of breath. I’m still trying to wrap my head aroundonekid.

Hawk chuckles darkly in my ear. “One child at a time, Little Sparrow.”

“Seriously?” Kai sighs in exasperation as he watches Hawk rub circles over my stomach. “You, too?”

Hawk simply shrugs.
