His lips flatten and my eyes narrow on him, trying to get a read on what he’s thinking. Does he actuallywantto walk me to class? He is not the type to follow Royce and Logan’s orders, especially when they aren’t around to ensure he follows through. Could his need to stay close have anything to do with whatever is going on with them?

“What’s going on?” I demand, crossing my arms over my chest and taking a stand in the middle of campus.

“Nothing,” Grayson is quick to answer.

“Then stop stalking me! You think I don’t know that you’re the one logging into my cameras in the middle of the night to watch me sleep?”

There is absolutely no repentance in his smirk. “I did like the show you and Royce put on for me the other day.”

My mouth drops in shock. “You were watching that?” I hiss, outraged.

Leaning in, he purrs in a voice as smooth as silk, “I didn’t just watch it, Tempest.”

This fucking asshole. Now I’m picturing him jerking himself off while he watched us.

The flush that hits my cheeks is the response he was looking for. “So pretty when you blush for me. I wonder what other parts of you I can turn red.”

“No.” I pin him with a glare as I take a step back. “You and I are not doing… that again. It was a one-time thing.”

He has the audacity to laugh. “And what about all the other times?”

“Youinstigated those.”

“Like you didn’t enjoy them.”

My glower is molten. “I mean it, Grayson. It’s not happening again. I have two boyfriends for that.”

“And yet it’s me you came to that morning.”

“You know why,” I hiss.

Closing the distance I just put between us, he keeps his voice low as he says, “I do. And that’s why I know it wasn’t a one-time thing. You won’t stay away. Youcan’t.”

My teeth grind as I glare at him.

“I hate you.”

Again, that arrogant chuckle. Grasping my cheeks in his hand, he stares at me with a scorching intensity that incinerates me. “You hate to love me, Tempest. And that’s okay ‘cause I hate to love you too. Now do as you’re told and get to class.”

Spinning me, he smacks me on the ass, the momentum sending me stumbling forward.

I practically run away from him, the sound of his laughter echoing in my ear.

Hate to love me, my ass. There is no love about it. Nope, none at all.

“There you are.”

I groan as Grayson pops his head inside the empty classroom I was hiding in.

“What are you doing here? How did you even find me?”

The fucker just grins as he walks in, closing the door behind him and holding up a food court takeaway bag. “You missed lunch.”

“I’m not hungry,” I grumble. I’m not about to admit that I didn’t want to sit at our regular table, just the two of us. Easier to avoid him… Or so I thought.

“Tough shit,” he barks, any sense of smugness dropping as he sets the bag on the desk I’m working at, along with a set of plastic cutlery. “You have to eat.” When I roll my eyes, he simply growls, “Riley,” in warning, and with no intention of this being the hill I die on, I cave and grab the bag, finding fries inside and grabbing a handful before stuffing them in my mouth.

“Happy?” I garble around the mouthful.
