“You can makethis easier on yourself and tell me what I want to know.”Wham. I punched the hoe ass nigga in the face with my brass knuckles. I normally used more unconventional measures to deal with enemies, but I felt like getting my hands dirty tonight. This shit was personal.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about!” he yelled with blood dripping down his jaw. This motherfucker must have really thought I was dumb.

“See, the problem with your answer is that I know it’s a lie. The problem with broke niggas is that as soon as they come into some big money, they always feel the need to show off. It’s some twisted belief that you need to flaunt what you have in order to gain respect. I’ve never understood the reasoning behind it.If you have money, why would you advertise it for other people to see? You’re basically asking for someone to come rob you.” I ranted while grabbing my blowtorch from the table.

“Please don’t do this,” he pleaded. If I had to guess, he was in his early twenties. Mothafuckas his age weren’t very intelligent, but they were desperate. I could only assume that was the motive for what he had done. When Huncho called me the other night it was because someone sent him a photo of some young cats flaunting a large sum of money. When I ran their backgrounds, none of them were in a position to have the kind of money they were posting with. When my crew rolled up on them, the other two men attempted to take off running while this dummy here tried to collect all of the money for himself. Greed would always be the downfall of men. We as people were willing to do anything to get it, and as a result it often clouded our judgment.

“I promise, I don’t know. Please don’t do this.” Snot dripped from his nose mixing with the blood on his lip. Bitch ass nigga. I didn’t give a damn how painful a situation was, no man alive would ever catch me begging for my life. They would have to kill me where I stood before I ever pleaded my case.

“You’re doing all of this crying and shit, but you weren’t crying when you were posting with my mothafuckin’ money for your friends online. How the fuck do you celebrate with some money you didn’t earn? That’s some real broke shit to do.”

“I-I didn’t steal anything. What are you talking about?” he stuttered. That only pissed me off even more because he was trying to play on my intelligence. When they pulled up on those fools, I made sure they collected the money so we could verify it. All of our money was marked to make it easier to keep up with. Once they ran those bills through the system, they were immediately flagged as ours. The only thing I wanted to know was who the bitch was that was in on the job.

“You think I’m stupid? Huh?” I questioned, aiming the torch toward his left arm. The smell of burning flesh permeated the room as he screamed bloody murder. I let it go for fifteen seconds before turning it off. Ol’ boy screamed so loud it made me regret not bringing my noise cancelling headphones.

“Answer the question. Do you think I’m dumb? Huh? You think I don’t know my money when I see it?” His lips chattered and he shook against the chains he was connected to.

“I-I didn’t take anything.” I chuckled angrily because I didn’t think it would take this long for him to cave. I was tired and in need of a shower and some head. The last thing I wanted to do was sit up in this stuffy ass warehouse dealing with this bullshit.

“Okay, cool. We’ll see if one of your homies can help me get some answers. Huncho, can you bring in the young bull with the black on?” The man in front of me finally lifted his head up.

“No. Please. That’s my little brother. He has nothing to do with any of this. He’s a good kid, and he’s in college. Please. Let him go, and you can do whatever you want to me.”

“What’s your name?” I probably should have asked a long time ago, but I wasn’t too pressed about it.

“Lucas, but they call me Shadow.” I smirked at his corny ass nickname.

“Well, Shadow. I’m gonna do what the hell I want to do to you regardless. Didn’t your people ever teach you that you can’t negotiate terms when you don’t have the upper hand?” I laughed. The door closed, alerting me that Ammo had brought in the young boy.

When Ammo tossed him on the ground, I noticed the large wet spot on his jeans. My nose scrunched up when I caught a whiff of his body odor. We kept them locked up for a couple of days hoping they would be more cooperative once they had time to sit and think about the seriousness of all of this.

“Please! He’s innocent!” Shadow roared. The young boy laid on the ground with his arms tied behind his back.

“Cut his ties off,” I commanded. My young hitta Racks came and cut the rope with a pocketknife, kicking the young boy in the back before walking back to his spot.

“Stand up, little nigga.” He rolled on the ground before he found his footing. Once he stood up, I observed him. It was a shame that he got caught in this mess because you could look and tell he had somewhat of a good head on his shoulders.

“Do you know who I am?” He shook his head with his eyes focused on the ground.

“Good. It’s probably for the best. Now you could have gotten out of here, but unfortunately your brother refuses to tell the truth. All I want to know is how you ended up with my money. It’s really simple. Instead, he has placed a death sentence on your life. Now does that sound like someone who loves you?”

Mind games were my specialty, and I loved to watch it all unfold.

“No.”

“What can you tell me about the money?” I questioned. He hesitated and turned to face his brother. They must have thought I wasn’t paying attention because I saw Shadow give him a signal to be quiet. These mothafuckas must not have known how crazy I was because that was the wrong move to make.

When he turned back to face me, I smiled wide knowing I was about to have some fun.

“I don’t know what you’re referring to, sir. My brothers and I were celebrating me getting a new job and him being off probation. We don’t know anything about taking any money.” He spoke with a shaky voice.

“Okay cool. I guess if you don’t know what happened then I have no choice but to accept your answer. The only problem is that I can only let one of you leave out of here alive.”

“W-What do you mean?” He fidgeted with his hands before wiping them on the side of his dirty pants.

“You see, the money that was taken belonged to me, but it also belonged to some very important people, and they are demanding we bring them a body. Now I can understand if neither of you want to confess to this, but we can’t come to them empty handed. One of you has to go.” The young boy turned to look at his big brother again, this time with uncertainty in his eyes. I already peeped the kind of person Shadow was, and although he might have said he would sacrifice his life for his brother, I could see right through it.

“I promise you, sir, I don’t know anything about the money. I’m home on break. I go to school, and I make an honest living for myself. I get why you need to take someone down for this, but I really don’t have any knowledge of anything.” I smirked, glancing back over to Shadow.
