“When my lady heard the way he spoke to me, she decided that she wanted in on it. That’s when we devised the plan to take the money. It was pretty easy if you ask me.” The mischievous grin caused my body to shiver. Everything about him seemed so dark and dangerous. The complete opposite of what I had been told.

“I-I was there that night. I saw her shoot you. There was blood coming out of your chest and everything. How was that a part of the plan?”

“Well, you came back into the house unexpectedly and we had to see it through. Unfortunately, my aim wasn’t as good as we needed it to be. It all worked out in the end,” Majesty added.

“Look at her face. She can’t even believe she got played like that.” Remi cackled at my expense.

“We needed it to look like a robbery gone wrong so that Soul would never suspect I was the one behind it.” He boasted with pride in his tone.

“What about the drugs? Majesty, you told me you were drugging him so he wouldn’t suspect anything.” I pressed, needing to put all of the pieces together.

“Oh, those were sugar tablets. I needed you to believe they were real so you would go along with the plan. The look on your face tells me we did a great job.” She tittered. I wanted to drag her by her hair and beat her ass for the way she played with my mind.

“Why did you involve me in this?”

“Well, you seemed like the easiest target. All of the other girls at the club were greedy bitches and they would have wanted half of the money. I overheard you begging Rob for extra shifts, so I figured you were desperate for money. You were the perfect choice. All you cared about was the money and not gettingcaught. Plus, I knew that you weren’t going to say anything because you took some of the money too.” Majesty’s explanation had me feeling like a complete fool because she was right. I barely asked any questions because all I could think about was saving my father.

“All of this is get back at Soul?” I couldn’t even believe they were telling me this knowing that we were together. Which made me assume that was a part of the reason they called me here.

“Remi wants revenge, and I want to live the kind of life I deserve. I’m a boss bitch and it’s time for my man to take what’s rightfully his so that we can live the way you and your man do.” The grin on her face told me this conversation was about to go from bad to worse.

“Why did you bring me here? I’m sure it wasn’t to spill all of your secrets so cut the bullshit.”

“I see she’s got a little bite to her. I like that shit,” Remi expressed. I glared in his direction, ready to tell them all they could go to hell. There were two other men on the opposite side of the pool table, but they were talking amongst themselves.

“I can see why my cousin is infatuated by you. You’re even finer than I remembered.” I squirmed as Remi looked me up and down. His eyes were filled with lust which threw me off because Majesty made it clear they were together.

“How can you call yourself family when you set this whole thing up?” I pressed with my arms crossed. None of this made any sense to me and it bothered me that I didn’t see this coming. Remi smirked as he stepped closer to me. Naturally, I backed up as he moved forward. This caused him to chuckle with a sinister gleam in his eye.

“The answer is simple, baby girl. I want to be the head mothafucka in charge.” He shrugged then continued to speak.

“Soul and his siblings have always been special to everyone around us. When we were younger, he would always talk us intodoing crazy shit, but when the punishments came, they were never equal. My grandfather favored him and Pure more than anyone and he made that abundantly clear when he promoted them before anyone else.

“I had all of the same qualifications as they did, but he passed over me every time. Even when my father decided to retire, they refused to allow me to take over his faction. Instead, Salvador combined the two and made Soul and Pure the leaders of both entities. Everybody underestimated me and what I was capable of, and now they have to pay for that. Now, you can either help us, or I can kill you before I get rid of him.” My eyes widened at his admission.

“I don’t understand. You want to kill Soul because your grandfather chose him over you? How is any of that his fault?” I stared at him skeptically because his revelation made no sense to me.

“It’s his fault because he never once vouched for me. He never even wanted me on his team in the first place. My grandfather put me on his team and gave me a bullshit ass role to patronize me. I wasn’t made to be a fucking errand boy.” Remi scoffed.

“What do you want from me?” There was a reason they brought me here, and I wasn’t in the mood to hear any more of his rants.

“I need you to access the safes in his house. I know he has money stashed there and I need to know exactly where it is. He doesn’t keep his money in the stash houses, so it has to be at the house.”

“What would that information do for you? Soul has high tech security all over his property. There is no way you’re gonna be able to walk in and take his shit,” I expressed. For him to be the ringleader behind all of this, he seemed to lack intelligence. Heshould know his cousin well enough to know Soul would never be careless enough for anyone to rob him.

“I guess you are more than just a pretty face and a fat ass. This is where you are going to come in. I need you to help me get access to his house and his safe. He clearly trusts you if you live with him. I’m his family and I still don’t have his address, so you are the perfect person for the job. I need you to get close to him and get him to tell you where he hides his money. I don’t care if you have to ask him in between deep throating his dick. We need the information, and we need it fast,” Remi demanded. I couldn’t believe this was happening right now.

“I don’t think I can help you with this. Soul doesn’t discuss his business with me and if I were to start pressing him for information, I’m sure he would start to suspect something. How do you even know he has a safe?” I wasn’t being completely honest because I already knew where all of Soul’s safes were. He took me around the house and showed me where his stash spots were. When I asked why, he stated that he wanted me to know in case anything ever happened to him. I brushed him off because the thought of him being gone was too much for me to even process.

“I’ve overheard my fair share of conversations. Soul doesn’t trust many which is why he keeps certain information private.”

“I’m sorry, but I’m not doing this. I love Soul and I refuse to betray him. I plan on telling him about my involvement in the robbery tonight. I can’t have this shit on my conscience,” I informed them. At first, I was afraid about how he would react, but I no longer cared. Even if he decided to leave me, at least I would have a clear conscience.

“Hahaha, you are really cute. How do you think that conversation will play out? Do you think he’s going to thank you for your honesty? It’s clear you don’t know your man at all. Theydon’t call him Grim for no reason.” Remi laughed heartily and it made my stomach twist.

“He’ll be upset, but the alternative is much worse.”

“Is that what you think? Whew, the jokes really write themselves. The moment you tell Soul about your part in stealing his money, your mother will be picking out a dress to bury you in. He’ll forget all about the love he has for you once he realizes that you’re a thief. This is deeper than a breakup, love. Your life is in jeopardy just as much as ours. I would think long and hard about your next move because it very well could be your last.” His warning sent chills down my spine as I started to reflect on some of the conversations we’ve had in the past. Soul made it clear on many occasions that he doesn’t tolerate liars or thieves. I never paid much attention because I wasn’t either of those things with the exception of this incident.
