The dusty earth shifted beneath my feet as we walked. Working against the wind and blowing sand made the short walk to the rails even more exhausting than I expected.
Now that the adrenaline had worn off, my body was aching with every step. My left ear kept ringing and my head was pounding. Although I was thirsty, I took sips of water sparingly. Only three small water pouches had survived the crash.
Zeysor walked ahead of me, carrying the supplies in a makeshift bag he'd fashioned from some parachute fabric.
We walked silently, both of us too tired to make conversation.
My mind was a whirlwind of emotion. Only hours ago we'd fucked between prison cells. Then we'd ran for our lives and nearly died. What was next? What danger would we meet once we got to civilization?
If I followed the tracks to the horizon, I could see lights blinking in the distance. There was a small down there, and we could only hope that we would find shelter.
When I was younger, I'd heard stores of the human colonies on Mars. They'd been living there for over one-hundred years now and had successfully created an atmosphere and thriving ecosystem. Much of the ground was still barren, like where we had crashed, with vast expanses of desert between towns. In the grand scheme of things, we were incredibly lucky to have landed only a few dozen kilometers away from a town.
The sky above us was dark now. When I looked up, I could see both Martian moons, one much larger and strangely shaped than the other smaller one.
Zeysor kept glancing upward too, but I doubted it was in awe of the irregular moons.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Just keeping an eye out for drones. Our escape has no doubt been reported by now. We need to keep moving," He said.
My state of wonder was quickly replaced with fear and I quickened my pace.

We reached the edges of the colony a few hours later. The town was surrounded by curved walls made of thick, clear material. They creaked and bent against the wind, protecting the town from any incoming sandstorms.
My feet were blistered and sore, and my face was chapped from the blowing sand.
"Wow," I said, craning my neck upward. I'd seen photos and videos of the Mars colonies, but seeing them in person was almost surreal.
The shuttle tracks stopped at a locked gate.
"How do we get in?" I asked.
"Normally, I'd suggest any public entrance, but considering we're wanted fugitives now, we're going to have to be more sneaky."
My heart fluttered when I looked at Zeysor. He'd risked everything to save me from a life in slavery. He'd lost his career, his rank, everything, all because of me.
"Thank you," I said.
"For what?" He asked with surprise.
"For saving me," I replied. I leaned forward and kissed him gently. My lips were rough and dry, but he didn't seem to mind.
"I would do anything for you, Lola," Zeysor said. "This was all my fault, but it was because of it I found my mate, so I don't regret it for one second."
That only made me kiss him again. Harder. No words would come that expressed the way I felt for him after such a short time. It was a whirlwind. Crazier than a roller coaster and I didn't want to get off.
Well... I wanted to get off, alright. With Zeysor. As soon as we had another chance I was going to jump him so hard. I wanted to feel his skin against mine. I wanted him to make me cum even harder than last time.
Right now I had to focus if I was ever going to get to fuck him again.
When we broke away from this kiss, I looked up to the barrier. "So, where do you think we can sneak in?" I asked.
"We'll wait here for a supply shuttle and sneak in behind it," Zeysor said as he pointed to the rails beneath our feet.
"How long is that going to take?"
