My teeth chattered, and my stomach flipped. This was nothing like taking off in a plane. The force made my ears pop and my headache. My vision blurred before the force made me pass out.

I didn't know how much time had passed when I opened my eyes again.

The shaking and beeping and roaring had passed. In fact, the shuttle moved in complete silence.

Zeysor was still in the pilot's seat. It didn't look to me like he'd moved since I passed out. He was faced away from me, probably reading whatever was scrolling across the many screens that surrounded him.

He must have felt me looking at him, because he turned his head a fraction to glance over his shoulder. "You're awake," he said.

"Yes," I groaned. My mouth was terribly dry, and my tongue felt scratchy.

"Good. I was worried it was going to be a boring twelve hours."

"Twelve hours? That's all it takes to get to Mars?"

"With advanced Terruxian technology, yes," The alien said proudly. "You've slept through almost half of it."

The reality of the situation hit me again. Here I was in an alien ship being taken to Mars by this brute. I didn't know if brute was the right word, though. He was massive and strong, but he spoke patiently to me most of the time. Except for when he forced me into this seat.

I strained against the belts, knowing it was useless, but trying anyway. I gave up, deciding the save my energy. Who knew what awaited me once we got to the station. I shuddered. My imagination began twisting my thoughts until my heart was beating so fast I thought I might pass out again.

"Why are you doing this? What's going to happen to me?" I asked.

"My Commander wants the famous actress Greta Yurt for his harem. His collection of females."

I scrunched up my face with disgust. "Well, he's going to be disappointed, because I'm not her. I told you that. I'm her body double. Can't you see the difference?"

Zeysor spun his chair around to face me. He paused, considering what I was saying. His dark eyes traveled from my face, down my body and then up again.

He looked at me for so long that I felt self-conscious. I was blushing. "Well?" I asked.

"You look just like her," Zeysor said.

My skin went hot as he continued to inspect me. My breath caught in my throat when I tried to speak. "That's true. That's why I'm her body double," I said. My voice was shaking. Was he having this effect on me?

"You should stop lying, it's not attractive."

The heat of attraction flared up into fiery anger. "I guess we'll find out once we get to Mars, then?" I stressed the challenge in my voice.

The alien didn't hesitate. "I suppose so." He swiveled back around.

I sighed and relaxed back into the seat. "Will you at least let me out of this seat?"

"I'll think about it," Zeysor said.

I could hear the smirk in his voice and knew my chances of him letting me out were pretty much zero. I drummed my fingers against the armrests.

"You know," Zeysor said after a few minutes. "You're strangely calm for a woman who's just been abducted."

"Thanks," I said sarcastically.

"It's true," he said. "When my kind first met the Earthlings a hundred years ago, it created a panic. I suppose the work we do together on Mars is well documented by now." He mused before turning back to the control panel.

I fidgeted in the chair a little. "I guess." I was scared. I was in shock. Could he not sense how terrified I really was? Was I masking my emotions that well, or was he just as clueless about women that earth men were?

The tiny ship was moving at an incredible speed, but I could barely feel the engine tremble. The screens in front of Zeysor showed a radar, a map, and a bunch of other things I couldn't understand. It all looked like flashing black and green nonsense to me.
