Her fingers dig into the mattress, pulling at the sheets as her body tenses beneath me. Her pussy clamps down around me, pulsing with deep waves of ecstasy. My name falls from her lips over and over as she shatters beneath me.

She lifts her other leg, and the way it tightens her channel even more sends me crashing over the edge. I come with her name on my lips as everything goes momentarily black. Wrapping my arms around her thighs, I let my head drop down as I come back to earth from that powerful orgasm.

I don’t move until I feel my cock softening inside her. Her legs shake as I help her drop them to the bed and then withdraw from her.

“I’ll be right back.” I press a kiss to the inside of her knee and then walk to the bathroom on wobbly legs.

After disposing of the condom, I clean myself off and wet a washcloth with warm water. When I walk back into the bedroom, she’s pulled the sheet up.

“I’m going to clean you up. Can I pull back the sheet?” I ask her softly.

She nods, shy all of a sudden. I keep my attention split between her face and what I’m doing as I clean her up. Her body is tense at first, but she settles into the soothing warmth quickly.

Once we’re both cleaned up, I toss the washcloth back into the bathroom and grab two bottles of water. She’s picking up her clothes when I come back into the room.

“What are you doing?”

“I didn’t know if you’d want me to sleep in here overnight.”

“I want you here.” I want her here every night, whether we fuck or not. But I keep my mouth shut, fairly certain she isn’t ready to hear that yet.

“Oh. Okay. I just need to use the,” she finishes the rest of her sentence by gesturing to the bathroom with her head.

I watch her, thoroughly enjoying the way her ass bounces with each step she takes. Once the door closes behind her, I loosen the cap of her bottle and open mine. The sheets smell like her as I sink into the bed. I drag a few deep breaths in, enjoying the hit of dopamine from smelling her all around me.

She slides back under the covers and into my arms in a way that feels so natural, so right, that it takes my breath away. I should just have all her things brought to my room from now on because there’s no way I’m letting her sleep anywhere but with me.

She’s still in my arms when I wake the next morning to the sound of my door opening. I jump silently from the warmth of my bed and pull on a pair of shorts, quietly closing the bedroom door. A cursory glance at the clock shows that it’s just after seven.

There’s only one person who would be awake this early and have access to my room. Darren.

Sure enough I find him already dressed in black slacks and a white shirt, the top two buttons left undone. His hair is perfectly styled and he looks as though he’s been up for hours. He lifts a steaming paper cup of coffee to his lips.

“The least you could have done is brought me one of those if you were going to barge in here at the crack of dawn.” I cross the room to the small coffee bar and slip a pod into the coffee maker.

“Didn’t know if you’d be up.”

“Here I am.”

“Looking well rested for once.” He looks from me to the door I closed behind me. “Who is in there?”

“None of your business.” He’ll find out eventually, but I’m not just going to spill all the latest developments to him. Especially when he wants me to use Hazel for my own gain.

Abso-fucking-lutely not.

He looks at me speculatively but doesn’t push it. “I came because I have good news. Rolling Stone wants to do an interview with you guys and Hazel. I don’t know if they’ve already reached out to her agent, but I said yes on our end. It’ll be great publicity.”

“Okay.”

“And it’s a cover story.”

“Even better. Do you know who’s doing the story?”

“Not yet, but their staff is all good.”

Plus he has a great relationship with their editor. They golfed together during a charity tournament and have remained friendly. Darren might piss me off regularly, but he’s the gold standard when it comes to networking and getting all our needs met.

“Have you told the others yet?”
