“And you, boss?” Ace asked, giving his big bro a cocky little smirk.

“I’ll do what leaders do. I’ll speak to a few of the crews in the area, see what they know, and make sure you dumbasses stay in line.”

The guys all chuckled.

They spent the next two hours drinking and going over details. There was a crew known as the Cyanyd Kings who were becoming a force to be reckoned with in the Vegas area. They dealt in drugs and prostitution and were made up of Latino and Asian gang members, a killer combination if there ever was one.

It was just after midnight when everyone decided to head back to their rooms.

ACE

“Ahh, that’s more like it.” Blade exhaled, flopping down on the bed closest to the door without even removing his boots.

Ace grimaced. He could only imagine what the man’s feet would smell like once he removed the boots he had been wearing all day long. That was one of the downsides of living the biker life—having to ensure the foul smell of sweaty feet that had been trapped in boots all day long.

Hockey players had their hockey equipment; bikers had their biker boots.

“You better shower and leave your boots by the window before hopping in bed,” Ace reminded, pulling out a fresh set of clothes from his duffel bag and making his way into the bathroom.

“Argh! You sound like a nagging ex-wife.”

Ace chuckled as he closed the bathroom door.

He turned on the shower and stripped out of his dirty clothes.

Twenty minutes later, Ace was all showered and done brushing his teeth.

He exited the bathroom with the towel wrapped tightly around his waist.

Blade was still lying in the same position on the bed. Clearly, the man hadn’t moved a muscle.

“B, get your ass up,” Ace called, slapping the man’s left foot that was lying, boot and all, on the motel bed.

“Huh?” Blade asked, his head jerking up off the pillow.

“You fell asleep. Go shower.”

“Help. Boots. Have mercy on me, please,” Blade mumbled, still half-asleep with his eyes closed.

Ace stared down at the man lying starfish on the questionable bedspread. There was no way that he was taking a UV light to that thing. Ignorance was bliss.

Even half-asleep, the man still looked sexy as hell. He wasn’t muscular like his brother or Cade, but he was solid in all the right places. He had a build that was strong enough to protect you, but also soft enough that you could cuddle up against and feel safe and loved. If only.

Letting out a breath, Ace grabbed the man’s left boot and began undoing the laces. Once he was done, he pulled it off and held his breath.

Okay, the smell wasn’t that bad… but still, his boots were spending the night next to an open window. His socks… well, those would be buried someplace deep in the bowels of hell. Chuckling, he proceeded to remove the second one.

“Okay, you’re all done. Come on, it’s time for a shower.” He slapped the side of Blade’s thigh, then waited for the man to move.

Nothing.

“Hey. Your stank-ass is not falling asleep in my room with a day’s worth of riding still on your skin.” Ace reached down and grabbed Blade’s arm. He began pulling against the man’s dead weight.

This was getting nowhere.

Fine.He asked for it.
