“Morning, sexy,” Blade greeted, leaning back and grinding his ass into Ace’s lap.

Blade grabbed hold of Ace’s free arm and wrapped it around his stomach, conveniently just an inch above the beginning of his man trail.
“Who wouldn’t be cheery waking up next to you each morning,” Blade said, resting his back against Ace’s chest.

Ace couldn’t help but smile. They really were a couple. Sharing intimate sides of each other that only they knew.
“Your secret is safe with me, big guy,” Ace said, wrapping his arms tight across Blade’s chest and giving him a gentle kiss on the side of his forehead.
Breathing in Blade’s scent, Ace wondered if this would be the last time they held each other. If things went badly tonight, they might very well lose each other.
“Are you sure you want to do this?”
“What? Sit naked in your lap? Well, I’d rather have you sitting naked in mine, but I’m too comfortable and lazy to move now.” Blade chuckled.
“No. I mean this thing tonight with the Cyanyd Kings. You’re still not one hundred percent, and if things go wrong…” He couldn’t finish the rest of his thought.
Blade took Ace’s hand in his and held it close to his chest.
“I don’t think I’ve ever told you this, but one of the things that I love about the Shadow Vipers is that we have each other’s backs. If one of us gets in trouble, then the rest of the crew comes running to protect them. Chester might not be an active member of the Shadow Vipers anymore, but he will always be a brother to us all. If I turn my back on him and the crew, then I will be dishonoring the thing I love the most about the crew.”
“I know. I just don’t want to see you get hurt, is all.”
“I know. And I love you for that. I’ve always wanted someone who cares about me as much as you do. Plus, do you really think Marcus will let me continue to stick my dick in you if I chicken out and abandon the guys now?”
Ace slapped Blade across the chest.
“You’re always so crude.”
“Yeah, but you love that about me.”
“Argh, I hate it that you know me so well.”
Ace wrapped his arms around Blade once more and held him tight. They didn’t know what tonight might bring, but for now, they could hold each other in their arms.
“Umm, Ace?” Blade asked, sounding suddenly concerned.
Ace’s body tensed with anticipation.
“Yeah, what is it?”
“Someone’s awake.”
