Drifter wrapped his arms around her, and they effectively sandwiched her between their two big bodies—right where she belonged. “Now, you say that you’ll move in with us and that we can officially call ourselves a family. Let’s make what we’ve never had growing up,” he begged. Monster felt the same way. He’d beg Blitz for what they wanted if he needed to.
“I’d like that,” she agreed, ending the agony of having to wait her out for an answer. “I’d like for the three of us—well, four of us with Josie, to be a family.”
And just like that, for the first time in a damn long time, Monster didn’t hate the month of October as much as he had. Blitz and Drifter had made this a Halloween to remember, and Monster wasn’t ever going to look at life the same way again. He had a second chance at having a family, and he was excited to fill their little “Madhouse” with a bunch of kids and happiness hewas sure he didn’t deserve. But he’d never take for granted his new little family. They were his world now.
Blitz
Epilogue
Blitz knew that getting pregnant so soon after the three of them moving in together wasn’t part of the plan, but there was nothing that she could do, or wanted to do, to change the fact that she was going to have their baby.
Drifter had been busy down at the funeral home. He had three funerals this week alone and wasn’t home for dinner for three nights this week already. Her chances of getting both guys in the same room to tell them together about the baby were looking slim. She knew that the only way she’d be able to make that happen was to get them both down to the clubhouse before the rest of the bikers showed up for church. That was something that neither of her guys missed—church, and she knew that if she could just steal a few minutes of their time, she’d finally be able to tell them about the baby and let the chips fall where they may.
Blitz walked into the back door and headed right for Monster’s office. She knew that sooner or later, both guys would get her text and meet her back there. Her nerves might not hold up until they got there, but she needed to wait them out.
The clubhouse was loud as always—laughter, pool balls cracking, the thump of boots on sticky floors—but in the back office, Blitz stood frozen. She’d paced herself in circles for nearly ten minutes, heart pounding like she was about to walk into a fight; she wasn’t sure she would be able to win.
The test was tucked deep in her pocket. She didn’t need to look at it again—the two lines were burned into her brain, her chest, her damn soul. A baby would change everything between the three of them. She just wondered if it would be a change for the better or worse. That would all depend on how the guys felt about the baby.
The door creaked open. Monster came in first, broad shoulders filling the frame, his usual scowl in place until his eyes landed on her. Drifter followed, a little lighter, a little calmer, but his easy smile faded the second he caught her expression.
“What’s wrong?” Drifter asked, shutting the door behind them.
She licked her lips, her hands clenched at her sides. “I need to tell you both something.”
Monster stepped closer; his boots were heavy on the floor. “Spit it out, Blitz. You look like you’re about to bolt, and the idea of you taking off on us just plain pisses me off.”
Her voice almost cracked, but she forced it out. “I’m pregnant.” She knew that just blurting it out might not have been her best decision, but she just couldn’t take the suspense anymore. She needed to get the words out, and then she’d wait for the guys to tell her how they felt about the baby.
The word “Pregnant” seemed to hit like a gunshot. The room went dead quiet except for the muffled roar of the club outside. Monster’s jaw flexed, his stare sharp as a blade. “Say that again.”
She pulled the test from her pocket and set it on the desk like evidence in a trial. “Pregnant. And before either of you ask—I don’t know whose it is. Could be yours, Monster. Could beyours, Drifter.” She couldn’t help the sob that escaped her chest. “It doesn’t matter. It’s ours,” She whispered, hoping like hell that the guys would feel the same way.
Drifter ran a hand over his mouth, stunned silence giving way to something softer, his eyes wide, almost shining. “Fuck,” he whispered, stepping toward her. “Blitz,” he breathed, pulling her into his body.
Monster swore under his breath, pacing like a caged animal, but his voice came out low and rough. “You’re telling me you’re pregnant and one of us is the father?” Blitz knew that the pregnancy might be harder for Monster to deal with because of his past. He lost his wife and his unborn child, and there wasn’t anything that he could do to save them. Would he walk away from her now, worried that the same might happen to her, and he’d be lost again?
She lifted her chin, bracing for the fallout. “Yeah. That’s exactly what I’m telling you.”
Drifter reached for her hand, threading his fingers through hers, steadying her even as his own shook. “We’ll figure it out. It doesn’t matter whose blood runs stronger—it’s both of ours. You hear me? When we agreed to share her, and the three of us became a family, we both knew that someday this would happen, Monster.”
Monster stopped pacing, turned, and stared at them both. His scowl hadn’t softened, but there was something fierce behind it now. He stepped in close, cupping Blitz’s jaw in his big, calloused hand. “Don’t you dare think you’re doing this alone. You’re mine. Ours. That kid—” his gaze flicked to Drifter, then back to her “—is club. It is family, and we’ll protect it. We’ll protect you.”
“I don’t need you to protect me, Monster. I need you both to love me and be all right that we’re having a baby together,” she said, swiping at the hot tears that ran down her face.
Monster pulled her into his arms, and she willingly allowed it—needing the comfort that he was offering her. Drifter covered her back with his front, and they surrounded her with so much love that she knew that she had finally gotten everything that she wanted from life, and so much more.
“You never have to worry about us not loving you, baby,” Monster drawled. “That will never change.”
Drifter cleared his throat and turned her to face him. “That’s something that we’ve wanted to talk to you about for some time now, but we’ve all been so busy, we just didn’t take the time to ask,” he said.
“Ask what?” she whispered.
“To ask you to marry us,” both guys said in unison as though it was rehearsed. Blitz’s chest loosened for the first time since she’d seen those two lines. Relief burned her eyes, but she held it back, standing between them, caught in the storm of her very different bikers. She knew her answer before the word even left her lips.
“Yes,” she breathed. “I’ll marry you both.”
Drifter kissed her temple, whispering, “We’re gonna be a family, honey.”
