His hands moved down her arms, a deceptively innocent caress. Except that she was naked, and he was naked . . . and doing absolutely nothing to hide the hardness of his body pressing against her.
Then he moved, stepping in front of her so she had a view of sleek muscles, smooth skin, taut buttocks.
“Oh . . . dear,” she said.
Tai’ri faced her, and Vivian hastily looked up, keeping her gaze firmly on his face. He smirked, eyes glinting as he stepped backwards down the pool stairs, then held out his hands.
“I’d ask if you like what you see, but you’re only looking at my face.”
“With good reason.” She slid her hands into his, and he assisted her down the stairs. Water of a perfect ambient temperature lapped over her thighs, then her belly and up to her chest as she descended.
“You don’t have to be so shy with me, Vivian. My body is yours. Look your fill.”
She shivered, the crooning dark rumble of his voice pebbling her nipples, sending sparks of lightning shooting off in her core. Her inner muscles clenched, and she worked to loosen the tight muscles of her jaw. She wassupposedto berelaxing.
“It’s a little hard for me,” she said. “I’ve never been extroverted, despite being a teacher. And I haven’t . . .”
“Have you had a lover, Vivian?” he asked gently.
She waded towards a bench, one hand still clasped in his, and sat, using the time to regather her maturity. She was an adult, damnit.
“No, though I’m not a virgin, either.”
He stepped close to her, his hands settling on her waist. It wasn’t the most modest position, considering his height. She tilted her head back on the ledge, closing her eyes.
“Coward,” he murmured.
Vivian sniffed.
“But you were telling me why you’re so shy with me. You’re not a virgin, but . . .?”
“I’ve only had two short term dating relationships, and I wouldn’t give either of them the label of lover.”
He winced. “That bad?”
“They weren’t entirely satisfactory.” She frowned, eyes still closed.
“Of course not.Iam your mate. I will satisfy you.” His hands drifted up, up, cupped her breasts and squeezed gently.
Her breath caught, and he played with her nipples, tugging and stroking until her hips began to squirm on the bench. She licked her lips, and heard his low grunt.
Vivian opened her eyes and made herself look. Do more than look. Reaching out, she wrapped a hand around the thick, heavy erection waiting so patiently for her notice.
Breath whistled through Tai’ri’s teeth, and he said an indelicate word.
“Do you want me to stop?” she asked, fingers exploring. He felt like life, the warm, satiny steel of his erection pulsing under her touch. Nothing inhuman, so to speak, about his penis. Despite the blessed size, it was humanoid enough. But then, Earth women had been assured of that years ago.
“Only if you want to,” he said through gritted teeth.
“I’m beginning to want more than I thought I would,” she murmured. “You make it difficult to resist you.”
“Good. Goddess damnit.” He blew out a heavy breath, then squeezed his eyes tight. The tendons of his neck stood out in harsh relief as she worked her hand up and down his shaft, faster and faster. “No, don’t stop.”
“Good. Because I owe you for last night.”
Tai’ri stilled, then suddenly his hand was around her wrist, not painful, but tight enough she couldn’t move. His eyes flashed, an edge of danger she’d never seen in his gaze when he looked at her.
“You owe me?” he asked, and some instinct warned her to choose her words carefully.
