The excitement was building, everything was coming to a head, and Scott felt his breath begin to catch and his vision begin to blur. No one had ever been able to handle him in this manner. Pike, although only a couple of inches taller and a few pounds heavier, tossed him around like he weighed nothing.
He continued to hold his breath, and then it came, the explosion, the heat, and the feeling of euphoria that sent him immediately into climax. Pike was filling him full, and he was coming so hard he felt himself blacking out.
Then the teeth struck, sinking into the same area at the base of his throat, but his time the bite was deeper, and he could feel the sensation of his lover feeding, and it was wild and sent another tremble through his body. Scott came again just from the sensation of that bite. It was outrageous and out of this world.
He could see the world; this new world was now completely open to him. He could feel Pike's emotions and attitude, and love all came to him, giving him a clear and glorious picture of his lover. Pike pulled out and licked the area, sending a fresh roar of emotion raging through Scott. He was utterly spent. Moving even slightly was becoming an effort, but he was happy, and there was a fulfillment and a connection that he could feel to his bones. He was one with this man, this vampire, and the realization brought him peace and joy the likes of which hadn’t touched him in years. It went beyond that of family and friends and entered an area reserved only for your soul mate, your match, your beloved. Pike was his beloved.
Pike slowly pulled out, making every inch a new experience in pleasure. He then lay beside him and put his arms around Scott. They were facing each other, and they stayed like that for several minutes just being together. "I love you, Scott." He said in a ragged, rough voice. Emotions were running high.
"I love you too, Pike."
"You're mine now, and we are one.”
“I know I felt the bond when it snapped into place, and I felt the awareness spark and all the doors opened at once." He smiled. "This world of yours is amazing."
“It’s our world, my love, our world.”
“Our world.” He repeated.
Pike was the first to move, and he quickly cleaned them up and spread the comforter out for them to lie on, and then pulled Scott back into his arms. He could quickly become accustomed to this kind of care.
"You were going to tell me why I was attacked at the scene of that last fire." Scott is still wondering about his safety in the future and what precautions he may have to take.
“Bagwell was going to kidnap you and use you as leverage against the Rose Coven.”
“How, why would I hold any sway?”
"You're my beloved, and beloveds are sacred in the vampire culture.”
"Wow, sacred," Scott repeated the words, and understanding came easily. Things were making sense, whereas before he struggled to comprehend what was happening.
"Do I have to be worried that it will happen often?" He asked and let his fingers trail down Pike's hard, muscular chest. The feel of his flesh was tantalizing.
“No, Fated bonds are considered sacred in all paranormal communities except for the rogue and those steeped in darkness. No one wants to come against Fate, for it never ends well for them." Pike nuzzled his face into Scott’s neck, and his hot breath fanned the claiming scar, sending another titillating tremor through his body.
“Will you move in here with me? I need you close, and you are safest here. You are now a member of the Rose Coven and will fall under the leadership of Master Conall Rose. This is your home, Scott." Pike unconsciously pulled him closer to him and rained kisses along his shoulder.
"I'd be honored to live with you, Pike, and be a member of the Rose Coven.”
“I am honored to have you in my life, Scott. Fate has blessed me beyond comprehension.” Pike kissed him softly upon the lips and wrapped him tight in his arms. "I love holding you, Scott.”
"I love being held, Pike, but only by you."
The Bagwell Pack was neutralized, and those who didn’t die had left town. Bagwell met his end and was soon forgotten. It was rumored that a few of his hired soldiers had stayed in town, but no one was sure, and after several sweeps, it was determined that no one remained.
Time would tell.
