“You truly are the perfect mate. Remember your safeword.”

He wrapped his hand around her throat and rubbed his thumb against her pulse point.

“You radiate warmth. It’s not just your body that is beautiful—but your very essence. I’m humbled by you. I pray that never changes. I yearn for you as much as I thirst for you.”

“I’m yours, Jasper. Take me.” She tilted her head, expecting him to bite into her neck, but he didn’t. He bit her chest, right over her heart.

His hips pounded furiously as he sucked, causing waves to break through her. She sobbed as she squirted her juices over his cock. His fingers dug into her skin as he thrust repeatedly, bucking against her.

Her cries of ecstasy surrounded them as he suckled on her breast. Her lips tingled and she became lightheaded.

“Yellow,” she gasped.

He pulled away from the wound he caused.

“Green.”

He pulled out and flipped her over. He pushed her chest into the mattress and lifted her hips before thrusting into her with a single stroke.

“Oh,” she moaned.

He covered her back with his chest as he slammed against her backside. His hips threatened to bruise her ass as he continued moving against her.

“Come for me again,” he commanded.

“Yes,” she cried as he played with her clit.

He buried himself inside her and roared his release.

They collapsed breathlessly against the sheets. She wrapped her wing around him as she laid her head on his chest.

“How do you feel?” he asked as he played with her hair.

“I’m perfect.” She smiled softly. “Thank you.”

“For what?”

“For loving me.”

He lifted her chin with his finger.

“Don’t you ever thank me for that. You deserve so much more. I should be thanking you. You saved me, more than once. You opened my shriveled heart. I don’t deserve you.”

Love wasn’t perfect. There were obstacles, and Edmond out in the real world. But this lazy afternoon was theirs.

The angel closed her eyes, allowing his heartbeat to lull her to sleep. What started as an impossible mission turned into mutual hunger. Their blood bound them, but it was their souls that would keep them in the light.
