Wave after wave of pleasure coursed through her, so hard and fast, she almost blacked out. She squeezed her eyes shut, reveling in each sensation.
A second later, Rynar threw his head back. Fangs exposed, horns shining, muscles tense, he’d never looked more alien–or more sexy. His groan made the walls tremble.
They both collapsed into the bed, spent and satisfied. As their breathing finally slowed and their hearts found a common rhythm, sleep began to claim Alissia.
It had been a long day.
A long, wonderful, dangerous, amazing day.
“Our wedding day might have not gone to plan, but I think we can both agree the wedding night had its merits,” he said, voice low and growly.
“It was…incredible,” she purred. Her eyelids fluttered open. She gasped.
“Rynar…you’re glowing again,” she breathed out. “All over.”
Golden veins spidered across his gray skin, lighting him like an ancient god come to Earth.
He raised his head slowly from the crook of her neck. The last time he’d glowed, he’d been surprised; he’d looked as shocked as a Deruzian could.
But now, he was smiling. “Yes, I am. And we’re going to talk about why tomorrow.”

ALISSIA
After the most memorable night of her life, Alissia awoke to a pressure on her chest and soft, furry kisses.
She slowly blinked awake only to be met with Zinny’s soft nose nuzzling hers, purring up a storm as he stood on her chest. His front paws kneaded her shoulder.
A talking cat was still a cat.
“Morning, honey.” Alissia grabbed his small cheeks and kissed his forehead, eliciting another loud purr. Her eyes jumped to Rynar’s side of the bed.
Empty.
The sigh that passed her lips deflated her entire body.
“Where’s your daddy?” she asked.
“Left,” Zinny purred.
“Left?” Alissia swallowed down her sudden disappointment. That would only lead to a thought spiral and she did not need that on her first day as a married woman. She was sure there was a perfectly good explanation why Rynar had let her wakeup alone after the first time they’d had sex. Mind-altering sex. “Where?”
“Left message.” Zinny stretched his front paws, not bothering to open his eyes. “For you. And told me lots of cuddles. For you.”
He rubbed his chin on hers, nuzzling his little head in the crook of her neck.
“Dad told you to give me cuddles?” Alissia cooed. Honestly, her heart couldn’t take how adorable the two of them were. Plotting to make her smile and all. “You are so cute.”
“I is big boy. I is not cute,” Zinny purred indignantly.
“Of course, the biggest boy.” Like father, like pet, huh? “Where’s the message?”
“Wave.”
“You have to be a bit more specific, bud.”
“Mommy wave,” Zinny whined, stretching back up. He turned, his tail flicking against Alissia’s forehead–he wassucha cat–and raised his paw toward the center of the room. “Do this.”
