“Wouldn’t bringing your guy into the office raise a red flag for the person behind all of this if they do actually work here or have access to the floor somehow?”
Veronica smiles softly. “Sebastian, I can assure you that no one will be able to tell my guy is doing anything. It will appear as if the machines are being serviced. The guy who sweeps for devices will come after hours. I’m very good at what I do.”
“What would he be looking for?” Devin questions.
“He’d be able to pinpoint exactly which printer the photos came from, if they were indeed printed here.”
Madison’s voice sounds rushed and anxious. “How soon can you get them in here?”
“Well, I’ll have to head back to the office and set a meeting with them. If you give me, let’s say an hour or two, I can give you a call and let you know when they can get here. It may not be for a few days, but I’ll see what I can do.” Veronica stands, smoothing out her dress and picking up her briefcase. “I’ll be in touch shortly.”
The three of us watch as Veronica exits the office, leaving a silence in the room.
This is insane.
