"And?" I ask back, because I woke up literally thirty seconds ago and barely know my name.

"If you leave the house, I want to know and to receive hourly updates."

"See, I didn't remember that because I don't plan on leaving the house." I smile up at him, proud of my excuse. It is true, I wasn't planning on going anywhere. Today was going to be a sleep and shop kind of day. Two things I love to do in bed, amongst other things.

"And because you forgot a rule, I'm going to add one."

"How's that fair? If I can't remember five, how am I supposed to remember six?" I roll my eyes. He leans down, putting his arms on either side of me, caging me in.

"No orgasms without my permission." My eyes shoot open as I make contact with his.

"You're a masochist," I whisper. He leans in and presses his lips against mine.

"Sadist, baby. The word you're looking for issadist." He kisses me again. "And this is just the tip."

"I like your tip," I breathe against his lips.

"Oh, I know you do." He smiles again before kissing me deeper, and wrapping one arm behind my back, pulling me in. It's just a kiss, but it has butterflies swarming in my stomach.

"Last time, what are the rules?" He pulls away just enough that I can't kiss him, and puts his arm back on the bed beside me.

"Tell you if I leave the house, hourly updates, home by nine, proof of life, tell you how I'm spending your money, and noorgasms without permission." I grit that last rule out between my teeth.

"Good girl." I smile at the adoration. "Again, this trip shouldn't take too long, so I'll be home soon. But if I am not, good luck with your interview. You're going to do great." He kisses my forehead. "And remember, good girls get rewarded, and broken rules have consequences." That sentence ties knots in my stomach. The kind that are somehow both uncomfortable yet still pleasant.

I just nod, hoping for one more kiss. Moments later, he gently places one of his hands on the side of my face and leans down for one of the most gentle kisses he has ever given me. I can't help but smile like a giddy child. He steps back, grabs his suitcase, and begins to leave the room.

"Daddy," I call out before he is gone. He turns and looks at me. “You said, you don’t care how much I spend?” He nods. “But really, what's the budget?”

He lets out an amused laugh before smiling and saying, “I guess you will just have to spend to find out.”

I roll my eyes and let my body flop back onto the bed.No limit? There has to be a limit. I guess I will start shopping and see where he draws the line.

I pull my phone off the charger and begin scrolling. I have an interview to prepare for, and I don’t know if I purchased anything interview-worthy the other night. Let’s start with the fun part, shoes.

I quickly look up Louboutins. I have no idea what my pay will be at this place if I even get the job. This may be my only chance to get the shoes of my dreams. The thought of buying them online doesn’t sit right with me. I want to go to the store and be catered to while picking out a pair—or several.

Hi, Mia, it’s Aria. Theo said I could call you if I needed anything.

Of course, what do you need?

Would you want to go shopping with me?

Chapter

Four

Aria

I shouldn't have asked her to spend the day with me. This is probably really awkward for her. Before I have the chance to text her not to come, there’s a knock on the door as it slowly opens. Of course, she has a key.

“Aria? It’s Mia.”

“Hey, come on in, I’m almost ready,” I shout from the bedroom. Trying to calm my nerves, I take a deep breath and stand up off the bed. “Just grabbing my shoes.”

“Take your time. Have you eaten yet?” she asks as I hear her keys hit the counter. I walk out into the living room and feel like I’ve walked into a wall.

Mia is not what I was expecting. I guess it is kind of a cliché—rich CEO with a hot assistant. Part of me wants to get jealous, ask if they ever had a thing, but the other part knows I’m temporary, and I’m probably just another girl he’s brought home.
