CHAPTER18

Levi

Istep out of the conferenceroom and roam around Jules’s office. Only empty desks and workstations greet me. I still can’t get over the stunt Hillary pulled. The nasty bitch barely showed her face at the office, but she decided it was her responsibility to make such a detrimental announcement.

Un-fucking-believable.

I stop in front of a window overlooking the parking lot, pull out my phone and dial a guy who will see the opportunity in CycleThonix.

“Levi, my friend,” Collin cheers. “What’s up?”

“Hey, Collin. Am I catching you at a bad time?”

“No. I just got back home. Man, my boxing trainer whooped my ass. I doubt I’ll be able to feel my arms tomorrow.”

“It’s your fault for being one of the top fitness models out there,” I chuckle.

“Blame my fans,” he retorts. “These muscles sell the calendars Shane and I produce and a long list of luxury brands.” I can just imagine him flexing his biceps. “Women have certain expectations when they see my perfect body on display. It’s my duty to make sure I don’t crush their fantasies.” I roll my eyes at the phone.

“You’re delusional,” I volley.

“Jealous?”

“Moving right along,” I chuckle.

He laughs.

“Beckett came over my place on Monday night for dinner,” Collin says, changing the subject. “It sounds like my big brother and I missed a good party. That was a hell of a theme. I won’t lie, I cursed our prior engagement in Miami.” Collin and Shane are also club members. “Word has it, you scored.”

“Beckett talks too much,” I scoff.

“There’s no smoke without fire, Levi. That girl must’ve been something else. Beckett couldn’t shut up about your match. He barely mentioned his hookup. I hope you enjoyed the leggy blonde.”

Collin is a player. He makes no qualms about it. That said, Collin would never touch a woman that belongs to another man. I know that about him. Still, his comment irks the hell out of me.

“She’s the reason I’m calling,” I cut to the chase.

“You connected with her again? You lucky dog.”

“Collin, you don’t even know what she looks like.”

“I’m telling you, Levi, Beckett practically had stars in his eyes. That girl made an impression on him.”

“I’ll give him that much, Jules is absolutely breathtaking.”

“Something tells me Jules isn’t her club name,” Collin quips.

“It’s not. She was a guest, and she had one of those silly Crayola color names for the evening.”

“Did you break protocol?”

“I didn’t,” I quash his concerns. “I bumped into her yesterday afternoon. Outside of the club, it’s fair game.”

“And you’re calling me so I can give you some pointers?”

“Fucker.”

He chuckles.
