“I’m going to fill your tight little pussy. You’re going to be dripping with my come all night.” He rocks his hips harder and faster, driving into me until his cock starts to pulse.

I hook one leg higher, changing the angle, taking him deeper until he comes hard, pumping until he’s spent.

And when he falls to the bed beside me, his chest heaving, all I can do is roll out of bed, wishing that things could be different between the two of us. That this could be something more. Something everlasting.

But it’s not.

And it won’t take long until he’ll never want to look at my face again.

Chapter Twenty-Six

AIDEN

Zoe’sheavy breathing comes down the line like she’s been running. She says nothing for a moment.

A heavy weight settles on my shoulders. “You said that you were going over to your house. What’s going on?”

“One minute,” she whispers before a door slams on the other end.

“Zoe?” My tone is stern, trying to get her to answer me as I slip into my car and start the engine. “I don’t know what’s going on, but if you need help or something, you need to tell me where the hell you are now.”

She clears her throat. “Sorry. Maybe I shouldn’t have called. I just didn’t know what else to do. I went by my house to pick up a few things, and there’s nothing but broken glass everywhere. I think someone’s been here.”

“I’m on my way.” I hit the button to open the garage door and gun the engine to life, zipping down the driveway. “Do you think it was Logan? You know, before?”

“Doubt it. He was stupid and clearly a fucking stalker, but I don’t think he’d have a reason to trash the place.”

“What about your family?” My knuckles turn white on the wheel as I toss the phone to the seat beside me, allowing the car’s Bluetooth to connect. “If they found out that you’ve turned against them?—”

“Morgana knows. I told her what was happening at that meeting with her I had about that body. She knows that I’m not with them. She might have told them.”

“So much for loyalty.”

“Wouldn’t ask her to protect me from this.” There’s a loud crash before Zoe hisses. “Son of a bitch, that’s going to leave a nasty fucking scar.”

“What the hell is going to leave a scar? Are you hurt?” I slam on the brakes as a fucking taxi cuts me off.

If I didn’t have somewhere to be, I’d ram into the back of him hard, teach him a thing or two about not driving like an asshole.

“I just picked up some broken glass, and it cut me. Nothing to worry about.”

“Sure, someone broke into your house, and there’s nothing to worry about.”

Her answering chuckle is warm. “Aw, are you worried about me, Aiden? I never thought I’d see the day. You know I’m perfectly capable of taking care of myself, right?”

“I know.”

But I should be able to do it for you anyway.

Zoe scoffs. “Sure you do. Have you ever thought that part of the problems you have with your family are because you don’t think that the people around you can take care of themselves? Because I happen to think that it is.”

“You’ve been talking to Summer and Jade.” I turn down the street toward her house.

“Yeah, a little bit.” She laughs before she makes a pained noise in the back of her throat. “Shit, maybe there is still some glass in my hand.”

“Zoe, you better not be shitting me right now. How hurt are you? Is there anyone still in the house?”

“If there was, they’d be dead.” Her tone is lethal as I pull up in front of her house and cut the engine the moment I hit the driveway.
