“During this time, he started seeing a woman, I forget her name. It took about three weeks before she started telling the other women of the club that when they went out, because she was dating the president of the club, that meant she was the first lady, and they had to pay for everything she wanted, if not, she threatened to have their men kicked out.”

“Can she do that?”

“No, women have no status in the club, other than being associated with their respective patch holder man. I know it sounds confusing, but the women are in the background, but kept safe. Anyway, when Lucius found out what she was saying and doing, he broke up with her.” She frowned, cocked her head to the side, then stared at them with wide eyes. “I guess what that chick did five years ago, Brenda is doing now. However, while the other one was actually dating Luc, Brenda is only stalking him.”

“What type of revenge did your brother get on the woman from back then?”

“While he was cleaning out something, I forget what it was now. I mean it was either a room in his house, or something stacked in the old office of the barn, he went through every piece of paper, wondering if it was important or not. Anyway, buried in one of the boxes were several traffic tickets, and court summonses in her name. He gathered them all up, and talked to one of the club members.”

“Why?”

“The guys aren’t just bikers, they all have day jobs. Luc owns and operates the bar slash restaurant. Vampire owns and operates a security firm. He’s the one that wired the bar, and there are cameras up in the woods where the commercial property turns into private property. Bandit is actually a cop, Hawk is a doctor at the local hospital. He works in the emergency department. Wolf, owns and operates a garage, one that, at last count, had at least five tow trucks. Gator owns and operates a motorcycle shop that not only repairs bikes, but he sells new ones, and all the accessories.”

“Ah, so the guys are everyday people, they just happened to be members of a motorcycle gang.”

“Club, not a gang. Anyway, once Luc found all the stuff she tried to hide, he went to Bandit and showed him the papers. He was shocked, but after Luc asked what would happen if she was arrested again, Bandit admitted that because all of the tickets were unpaid, and the court summonses had gone unanswered, there were three different bench warrants out for her arrest.”

“Why three?” Brad asked.

“Three different towns.”

“Ah, what happened?”

“During a church meeting, that’s a meeting that only fully patched members can attend, Lucius laid it all on the line andsaid that if anyone was out and about and saw her, or her car, to call Bandit.” Starr sat back with a grin. “It took three months, but Wolf would see her car, hook it up to a tow truck, and move it a few miles away. They messed with her. All legally, because there was something that Wolf did that said if that vehicle was found, then it was supposed to be immediately towed. After three months, she made a stupid move, and found out the consequences of her actions.”

“Which were?”

“She stormed into the local police station, the one Bandit worked at, and laid out everything that had been done to her car. Like she parked it in such and such a place on this day, but came out and it was gone. Then it would be moved back where it was originally. Bandit allowed her to spew her crap, then when he asked her for her license, she immediately handed it over. They ran it, and she was immediately arrested. One, her license had been revoked almost two years prior, two, the three bench warrants, three, the unpaid tickets, and four, the unanswered court appearances. By the time she was done with all the court fees, tickets, and jail time, it took four years to get her life back on track. Oh, and because of all the tickets, she lost her job.”

“Why?”

“She worked for someone where she had to take disabled clients to doctor appointments. While driving with a revoked license, she was putting those clients in jeopardy.” She waited for any questions, and when none came, she nodded. “As far as I know, she never found out Lucius was behind her downfall. One thing people don’t know, and it’s their downfall, every single time, is that they underestimate Lucius.”

“How so?” both Gary and Brad asked.

“They see the biker first, then the bar owner, they don’t see the man.” She cocked her head to the side and studied them. “Do you know that Luc has an MBA, and I know you don’t know this, but last time he was tested, he had an IQ of 155.” She nodded when they whistled. “So, I’m not saying I fear for Brenda’s life, because if anything happens after you tell her she is no longer allowed to work on my project for Hell’s Coffin Halloween Bash, it will all be on her. If she does something, Lucius will find a way to serve his revenge cold. But depending on the severity of what she might pull, then it might not be served cold, it might be served red hot. But know this, it will be done legally, so she can never come back to blame him for anything.” She pointed to the laptop as she stood, reached over, closed it, and put it back in her bag. She pulled out a flash drive. “This has everything you saw on it. If you have to show her, then do so, but I would suggest you keep it in a safe place, even if you don’t show her.”

She waited as he stared at her. “I’m not telling you what to do, but I will give you seventy-two hours to kick Brenda off my team before I do it. I won’t be as diplomatic as you.” She turned to head to the door, but paused with her hand on the knob to turn back to them.

“Oh, and ask her to see what she’s drawn for her characters. From what I’ve been told, she’s only drawn those compromising positions with my brother. If he sees them, or gets his hands on them, I know he will seek his revenge for those alone. Thank you for letting me speak with you.” She opened the door and walked out leaving two stunned men behind her.

“What are you going to do?” Brad asked.

“Call Brenda Smith into my office. I don’t need any freeloaders in my class. Thankfully, this has nothing to do with any college program, so I run the class as I see fit. If she throws a hissy fit after I kick her off Starr’s team, then I’ll just kick her out of the class.” He rubbed the back of his neck, and looked at his brother. “You’ve seen how lazy she’s been in class, and won’t get her hands dirty.”

“Yeah, now that we’re talking about this, I have to tell you that she’s hit on me several times.” At his brother’s look, he nodded. “Sexually propositioning me and one time she even said that if we hooked up, then I could put in a good word with you, and she won’t be kicked out of class.”

Gary smirked, and shook his head as he rose to make a fresh pot of coffee. Once that was done, he looked at his brother with a shit eating grin. “Does she realize that you bat for the other team?”

“Nope,” Brad laughed. “If there was one person I could name that I would be interested in, it would be Lucius King. However, I like my teeth right where they are, and I know he’s heterosexual. I would never hit on him.”

“You just lust from afar?”

“Of course.” They shared a laugh, each got a cup of coffee, and Gary picked up the phone to make the dreaded call.

“Ms. Smith, I called you in today, because I’m wanting to see the drawings you’ve come up for your part on Starr’s team.” Gary watched as she covered her shock swiftly, and hardened his facial features when she started to speak.
