I reach out and grab her hand, pulling her close to me and wrapping my arms tightly around her as she does the same with me. “Smartass. The point is I’m not a guy who wants a girl for more than one night. I’m sure as shit not a guy who sees stars when a spoiled girl with green eyes smiles at me. But here I am, exactly where I never thought I would be.”
She smacks my back and giggles. “Says the millionaire. And I’m not spoiled, just loved.”
I stare at her, completely captivated by her beauty, and draw her in for a kiss. She melts into my arms, my body coming alive from her touch. My hunger is intense and I need to feed.
“Let’s go. I need this mouth on other places.” She lets out a soft mewl and nods. “Shit. I rode my bike and I don’t have any extra gear.”
“I’ll just have Kinsley drop me off. No problem,” she shrugs.
“It is a fucking problem. You should be riding backpack.”
“Sorry, big bad wolf. Looks like you’ll be practicing the art of patience.” She smacks my ass then withdraws her arms from mine. “Race ya.” She winks then tears off for Kinsley’s truck with a laugh. “Start the truck McKinsley. We got a race to win.”
Kins lets out a whoop then cranks her engine. I wait a moment longer then run back into the bar to get my things. I don’t bother to pass anyone a second look, especially not Danté, and quickly tug on my jacket, gloves and helmet.
I’m back on my bike and zipping out of the parking lot in minutes. I know the girls won’t beat me, so I plan a little surprise for Dagen. It might not be one that she’s wanting…yet
I park my bike in the garage and hustle out to slide behind a large shrub just near the breezeway away from any light. My black clothing allows me to completely disappear in the darkness and it’s exactly what I want. I raise my visor to help me see better and then just wait.
Within a few minutes, I hear the wheezing of Kins’ truck dragging up. The door opens and a country song blasts from the speakers.
“I don’t think he’s here. I think we beat him,” she tells Kins.
“Well that’ll be a first. I’ll check in on you in the mornin’. It’s Saturday, so that means no classwork and beach time.”
They exchange good-byes and the door slams shut with a bang. The sound of the engine fades as her truck pulls away and I wait to hear the side gate open and shut. When I know she’s closed and locked the gate, I quietly step out as she passes and wrap a hand around her mouth and the other around her waist. A muffled scream erupts from her mouth and I tug her back into the shrubs.
“Shhh. Don’t scream little mouse. I don’t want to have to tie you up. Unless you’d like me to.” I feel her heart slam against her chest and her body shake. “If you promise not to scream I’ll remove my hand. Think you can be a good girl?”
Dagen’s head nods rapidly and I drop my hand. I hastily spin her around, thwacking her back against the harsh stucco house. I forget about the scratches that already line her back when she winces and I change my plans slightly.
My eyes adjust to the dark and see hers large and wide with only a thin ring of green circling her midnight black pupil. Her chest heaves with brisk breaths and I see the pulse in her neck jump with fright.
“Little mouse, little mouse, you look so delicious. And I’m the big bad wolf of your nightmares, sent to ravage you.” My gloved hand slides down her cheek but she doesn’t move. “Are you afraid of me?”
Her voice trembles when she says, “Yes. But what scares me also excites me.”
A demonic laugh rumbles, joy spreading through my body that I’ve been able to infest this good girl with a taste of something sinister.
“I’m going to have my way with you, little mouse, but I’ll let you tell me one thing. Do you want to feel fear or elation?”
Her lips quirk up and she whispers, “Why can’t I have both?”
I hold her stare, her innocence to my nefariousness, and remove my helmet. I grip it with one hand and slowly lean in. She parts her lips, waiting for the kiss she thinks is coming and instead, swipe my tongue from her collarbone up the slender column of her neck and stop at her ear. I take the small lobe adorned with a diamond between my teeth. My hand clamps around her jaw and I angle her head to the side, giving me perfect access to nip back down her throat.
Her breath shudders and she squeezes her thighs together, warding off the desire that tingles between them. I suck in her delicate skin, breaking the blood vessels and digging my teeth into her. I realize she already wears the imprint of my teeth on her, but I figure she needs a matching set. Like eyes and ears. Two are better than one.
I release her with a pop and tell her, “Now you wear the mark that lets the world know you belong to me.”
My helmet gets lowered to the cold dirt beneath our feet and I take her purse, setting it in the same place. I claim her mouth is a scorching kiss and when she moves to wrap her arms around me, I grab them and raise them above her head, trapping both wrists in one hand.
The muggy evening sets my body sweating with all of my clothes still on and zipped to my neck. “Take off my gloves,” I order her.
She tries to pry her hands from my restraint, but I only tighten my hold on her. “Use your teeth.”
I present my hand to her, holding it steady in front of her mouth. Her eyes waver between my hand and my eyes and I encourage her to do as she’s been told. Gradually she opens her mouth and carefully bites down on one finger, catching a small sliver of leather between her teeth.
She stretches her neck back, working to free one finger at a time until I’m able to pull my hand free. I trade out one hand forthe other, and insist she do the same with the other hand. I take my warm, calloused hands and band them tenderly around her neck. My thumbs rub circles on the side to soothe her worries that I may hurt her.
