He blinks, and I think I might have said too much, came on too strong. Embarrassment fills my stomach, even though he said he cares about me.

This is new to me. I’ve never been in this position before. Maybe I shouldn’t have said it. I have no idea what I’m doing. Except, I’m being honest, and that’s all I’ve got.

Killian licks his lips and grabs my hands, kissing each palm before linking our fingers together.

“I wouldn’t mind having my soul tethered to yours,” he says.

My heart explodes. It doesn’t shatter from sadness or loss. It bursts apart from the love radiating from him. It fills the bullet holes of my past with love so full I’m bleeding out.

Killian leans forward, grabbing my face, aggressively plundering my mouth. Stealing my breath, consuming me like I’m his only sustenance. He rips away with a growl, and I reachfor his jeans trying to get rid of them. Killian leaps out of bed, pushes his pants down, and climbs back on top of me.

My eyes widen at the sight of him, and he chuckles, sitting back on his heels. “Don’t worry, little witch, I’ll take care of you,” he murmurs, reaching for my waist, gazing down at me with hooded eyes, waiting for permission.

I give it to him, and he whips my panties off my hips. Heat floods between my thighs, and I whimper, needing friction, anything tosatisfy my desire.

He groans, drawing his hands over my body. “I’ve thought about you and me, like this, way too many times to make me a decent man,” he says.

The tips of his fingers slip over my chest, down my small belly to my hips, stopping at the apex of my thighs. I tense for a second before he grabs my hip with the other hand, drawing smooth circles over the bone, helping me relax.

“I’ve got you,” he says.

My eyes close as he slips a finger in. I trust him to take care of me. I trust him to love me through his actions.

He groans and I whimper, the feeling foreign and so good as he moves his hand. “So beautiful,” he rasps, watching his hand.

He slips in another, and curls his fingers. My body trembles with his touch, and my heart vaults out of my chest.

“You okay?” he asks.

I nod rapidly and let my body respond to him however it needs, rolling with the waves of pleasure. My hips lift, chasing his hand, and I reach for him.

“Be patient, baby, relax,” Killian says, pushing me back into the bed with his hand around my throat.

I bite my lip, white knuckling the sheets, letting him do as he pleases.

“That’s my girl, now tell me what you like,” he says, dropping his hand from my neck and placing it next to my head, hovering over me while his other moves faster.

“I don’t know,” I whine, and grab his shoulder.

“Come on, darlin’, don’t be shy,” he coaxes.

I keen as his hand moves in a different pattern, and bite his shoulder. “That, I like that,” I say breathlessly.

“Good girl. Leave your mark on me,” he says gruffly.

“I’ve never—” I swallow trying to breathe, but feeling like I’m about to burst from an impending fall.

“Then let me be the first to give it to you.” He watches me with rapt attention. “And the last,” he whispers.

“Killian, I can’t …” I whine.

“You can,” he says, kissing me. “Let go for me,baby, let me see you shine.”

His praise brings me over the edge, making me explode into a thousand stars that shine above our heads. I scream into the ceiling, so overwhelmed, so breathless, my vision narrows.

Killian pulls his hand away and kisses my temple. “That was so damn beautiful I can’t wait to see it again,” he grins before sticking his fingers in his mouth.

“Oh,” I gasp.
