“Yeah,” I agree as we release each other. “You can give me the honeymoon details tomorrow.”
“Fuck right off, E. You better not tell me shit about my sister, either, motherfucker. That’s the last thing I wanna hear.”
“You sure?” I waggle my brows, laughing as we walk back into the bar.
All eyes are on us. Venom lets out a victorious laugh and hops to his feet.
“Pay up, fuckers!” he shouts, rubbing his hands together. The others groan, slapping money into his open palms. “Thanks, VP. You just won me five hundred bucks. These idiots thought the prez would get in at least one punch.”
He drops back down on the couch, counting his money with his tongue between his teeth.
“Assholes,” I grumble as I head to the bar.
Chuckling, Gage heads toward his room. “It could still happen, boys.”
They erupt into laughter, and I hear new bets being made.
“Can I get you anything?” Tyler asks, appearing behind the bar with a grin.
“What’s so funny, Prospect?”
He loses it immediately. “Nothing, sir.”
“I thought so. Gimme a beer.”
He slides one to me, and Ellen walks up just as I take a drink.
“Everything okay?” she asks in a quiet voice.
The guys get rowdy behind us, whistling, clapping, and cheering. Ignoring them, I turn to face her and curl an arm around her waist, pulling her to me and wedging her body between my legs.
“Of course, beautiful.”
“It’s just… you seemed a bit distant earlier.”
“I wanted to talk to your brother before he found out about us from anyone else.”
“And?” She raises a nervous brow.
“And we have Reaper’s approval.”
Sighing in relief, she wraps her arms around my neck. “At least I don’t have to worry about him chasing you off. Or worse.”
“Not gonna happen, babe. You’re stuck with me.”
“I’m good with that.”
The smile on her face warms my heart. Her body pressed against me warms something else. It’s only been a few hours since I was inside her, and I’m already craving more. Ellen is quickly becoming an addiction for me. The thing about addictions is you need more and more each time to reach the high you seek. I’d gladly overdose on her if I could.
“Come home with me.”
“Um….” Her gaze drops, one hand moving to pick at the “Vice President” patch on my cut. “I have some stuff to finish up at home, but I was thinking of coming back here and staying with Daddy tonight. He seems okay, but I’d feel better being close.”
“No problem. We’ll stay in my room here.”
Her eyes meet mine once more, a smile gracing her lips. “I’d like that.”
Gage re-enters the bar, now dressed in his cut. Raven and Nita follow closely behind him. They all join us at the bar, the two women eyeing me and Ellen with obvious delight.
