Raven and Aunt Nita pull me into Gage’s room, demanding details on me and Jon. I’m tossed on the bed and blocked in on both sides when they climb in next to me.
“Okay, niece. I saw you all wrapped around that man. Spill the beans,” Aunt Nita demands.
“Yeah,” Raven agrees. “I want to knoweverything.”
“There’s not much to tell. It’s still early. We’re just giving each other a chance,” I explain.
“Yeah, right. I can see it on your face that he’s been giving you a lot more.”
I blush at Raven’s words. The other women laugh, high-fiving each other. “Well….”
“I knew it!” she exclaims, giggling. “E squared is in full effect!”
“E squared?”
“Einstein and Ellen. See? Even your names are perfect together.”

“I know you probably don’t want to talk about this with me, but I’ll just ask you one question, and then I’ll go check on Chopper,” Aunt Nita says. “I’ve known that boy all his life, so I already know the answer. I guess it will just make me feel better getting confirmation from you.”
“What is it?” I ask.
“Is he good to you?”

“That’s all I need to know.”
She kisses my cheek, then leaves the room.
