“You done, G,” Jason asks. Sebs nods in response but is still glaring at me.
Why do they keep calling him G? Is that his first initial of his actual name?
I look up through my lashes taking his attire in.
G.. G.. G.. wait…
“Holy shit. Does G stand for ghost, like in Call of Duty,” I snicker. “I knew you were obsessed with the game, but like come on Sebs, even you can admit that is weird?”
This coming for the girl who literally drools over COD cosplayers!
And got off to a dream about COD.
He doesn’t need to know that.
Hypocrite.
Shut up!
“Sebs?” Phantom looks confused.
“How much did you two talk in that car,” Jason asks.
“It’s actually G for Gunner,” a Russian voice answers. The deep gravelly tone, I swear, can only come from the depths of hell. My blood turns to ice as his dark menacing aura engulfs me the closer he gets, while what can only be described as a demon stands behind me. He rests his finger on myneck, or more specifically my carotid artery. “Gunner, this is the girl.”
“What girl,” Phantom demands looking between the two.
“Hmm, I now understand,” he says, slowly stroking my neck.
“Understand what,” I growl, trying to move my head away from him.
“Now, now stay still,” he tuts, placing his free hand on my other shoulder to keep me still. His finger goes back to stroking my pulse point.
“What girl,” Phantom repeats.
“Wait, this is her,” Jason exclaims. “This isthatone?”
Gunner just nods, keeping his eyes trained on me.
“What fucking girl,” Phantom repeats, his annoyance palpable.
No one answers, but all just stare at me.
“Someone want to fill me in,” Phantom snaps.
“Later,” the demon behind me answers. His stroking stops and he adds a little pressure as if he is measuring my reaction to this conversation by just my pulse.
“Now, let’s move this along shall we. Alley, in front of you is Vaughn and you will call him Sir. To your left is Nikolas, you can call him Beast. To your right, well that’s Gunner, whom you are already more than acquainted with. He has decided for you to call him master, oddly enough. And I, Kukla, am Baron. I am the therapist you will report to and you can call me Doc.” The way he introduces them may sound innocent enough but there is a threatening undertone to it. Not sure what the threat is, though.
Also, what does ‘Kukla’ mean?
Do we want to know?
Not personally.
“And blue mask,” I ask.
“That’s Carson. You will not be seeing him much, but you can address him as Carson.”
