Hey there, everyone!

I am glad to say that my headaches are completely gone. I am feeling much more like myself and I cannot tell you how happy I am that each and every one of you has been so very instrumental in my well being.

Your well wishes and good vibes really helped the perisage work, I think. I hope against hope that none of you will ever have to deal with headaches as terrible as these were, but I think for now, it's safe to say that I have found a good way to combat them if you ever do.

I have more pictures here of my Rapunzel plants! I should be able to try eating some within the week. I can't wait, Ilovefresh greens!

Basil's been doing well, I noted that some of you have been asking after him.

He's been being himself. He's getting rather old for a cat, so he spends long periods of time laying around and being lazy.

I do love him so very much. I hope to have many many more years with him.

Well, I do have to go, Mother will be by shortly and I want everything to look perfect for her! Until later! :D

~~monday morning~~

I checked my reflection in the mirror. My hair looked lovely. Beautiful waves hung down my back and over my shoulders. I had washed it the previous night, soaking in a bath of rose water and lavender oil to make certain that my super-long tresses were glowing and gorgeous.

The apartment was spotless. I had even done a quick cleaning spell on the rocks in the brook that ran through the living room. Not that it ever got very dirty or anything, it was fresh water and all the faucets were hooked up to it, so anything I needed to drink or pour on my plants got filtered through those.

But the rocks at either end of the room where it flowed would sometimes get green with algae, necessitating a good strong cleaning.

And that's what I had done yesterday, making sure everything was gorgeous and that Mother would have nothing to complain about and we'd have a pleasant visit. Perhaps she would even leave early.

The visitwasshort. But it was in no way pleasant. It seemed as if it would have been better for Mother to have something to complain about, considering she'd arrived here looking for just that.

She was in a terrible mood from the moment I let her into the apartment. It wasn't initially clear what had her in such a foul temper, but I had my worries.

The first one that came immediately to mind was that she knew about my video chat with Sorrel, but it appeared that she didn't upon further inspection.

First off, she'd have turned off the wifi the second she'd come in if she was indeed upset about my social life. She hadn't. It was still on. Still connected. Five bars worth, to be exact.

And yet, she was glowering like someone had peed in her porridge.

Her scowl only deepened when she looked around the apartment.

"It's socleanin here… why is it so clean?" she asked, grumbling a little too loudly for it to be purely to herself.

"I thought it would be kind of me to clean up for your visit. I was feeling so much better after I used the tincture…" I said.

She grumbled all the more. "No one cares aboutmyheadaches."

"I do, Mother…" I insisted, producing from thin air a large bottle of the tincture I'd made. "Here. For you. To thank you for bringing me the perisage."

She looked at it like it was a large cockroach and I had just asked her to eat it. She flicked her hand, knocking the bottle out of mine and causing it to break on the floor in a zillion little glass shards. The tincture leaked out everywhere.

"Clean up this mess, Rapunzel…" she murmured softly, the violent act seeming to quell her desire to be nasty for the moment.

I swallowed the lump I had in my throat, waving my hand over the mess and sending it to the trash bin in a wave. The pungent aroma went with it.

"I don't want any tea this morning," she said as I turned to go to the kitchen. "Come with me and sit out in the sunroom."
