EPILOGUE

Some time later…

Heyaaaaaaaa, I wanted to post some more pictures of the storefront in the city, but then the lighting was all wonky when we drove into town last week. So I promise. When I go in next Monday, I'll take more pictures and show you how it's coming along. I know lots of you are impatient for a place to actual-facts buy some of my tinctures and teas.
Just as impatient as I am for you to have them!
Just a reminder thatallthe proceeds from my sales will go to the city orphanage. I've got no use for profits now, and I want to help out where it's needed, you know?
Anyway, what I DO have for you is a new video of me making some lavender green tea soap. You can just give that link a click down there to see that.
I'm getting settled in my new home. I love it here. Basil does too.
He's currently sitting beside me here on the porch, sunning himself. It's been months since we escaped from that horrible warlock, but he's been super cuddly and unable to leave my side.
Not that I'm complaining. Six days without my best bud was six days too long.
Anywho, on to more positive things! I need to cut this short, because I think I just heard S and K pull up outside, which means R is going to be waking up from his nap soon.
Have a great one guys and don't forget to let down your hair once in a while. ;)
~~tuesday, afternoon~~
I reached up to scratch my head, feeling the hair that had grown in there and wondering if I should go get it cut shorter in a pixie cut again or not.
Kinden's hair growing potions were working, I just… really liked short hair now.
Basil yawned and stretched, his big yellow eyes fixing on me as he sat up. "You gonna cut it again?"
"Thinking about it," I replied, reaching down to scratch him behind the ears like he liked.
"Might wanna consider some hair-no-grow spells instead of the growing ones Kinden's casting on you."
"I was thinking the same thing."
Baz padded over to where I was, rubbing against my arm before he meandered back inside the cottage to eat. He'd spent nearly every waking moment in my general vicinity. It wasn't much different from when we'd lived in the tower, actually. Except now we could go outside.
I'd expected him to roam more, if I was being honest. But I supposed that Basil was a homebody. That was just fine with me. It made me feel at home, knowing I could look up at any given moment and see my best buddy lounging somewhere in the vicinity.
I got up and walked over to the potting station, taking a tray of seedlings back with me to the porch for repotting.
Rifyr's arm slunk around my waist as he approached me from behind. "Come sit down with me, Princess… I've barely seen you today…"
I rolled my eyes and turned to face him, nuzzling his nose with mine. "You've gotta stop calling me that… also, you've been home with me all day, so whose fault is that?"
"But youactually area princess," he teased.
"Don't remind me," I said with a laugh.
I'd gone to the skyscraper palace in the center of the city. I'd met my real mother and father. Not dead. Not stupid. Just… really sad they didn't know me and really sorry for the reason why.
We were making up for lost time as best we could, though. It was difficult finding free time, but they somehow did.
