Gorgeous lips curved slowly to reveal a wide, lazy, sensual smile and his amazing hazel eyes, which were currently greener than brown, sparkledmischievouslyat me.
I knew I was damned when I saw a faint little dimple in his left cheek. “Alfie,” he muttered, and swept his index finger up and down the length of him.
“Are you majoring in music?”
I nodded and blushed again. “Lily,” I replied and boldly pointed my finger at myself, but I didn’t feel it had the same effect on him as he’d had on me.
With his eyes squinting against the sun, Alfie looked at me and grinned. He kissed his fingers and threw them out there like he approved of me. “Well, hi, Lily. What a beautiful lady. Would you like to come over and sit by me?” He threw his hand out and moved it in front of him.
Iknew I should’ve said no and made an excuse to move on, but instead, I smiled bashfully and moved closer, doing what he asked me.
“That sounded interesting, how’s it coming along?” I asked as I plopped myself down opposite him.He gestured for me to move alongside him, so I did.
My skin tingled and my breathing became shallow and rapid as I struggled to keep myself calm. I was aware that the pulse in my neck was throbbing faster than ever. I moved around, then leaned back against a tree.
His arm brushed mine unintentionally as he moved closer, and I felt my skin react with a rash of goose bumps. He looked at his arm where it had touched mine, then back to my face. “You’re not from these parts?” he asked, turning to face me.
“No, London,” I replied.
Smiling, he groaned softly, placing his hand over his chest and stroked it down to his belly. “Oh, your accent turns me on. You are going to have to be careful around me, Lily,” he teased, and winked unashamedly at me.
My mouth dropped open, and I blushed scarlet again. I wished he hadn’t said that because I knew how much he was affecting me already. “Are all the men this forward here?”
He grinned deviouslyat me, his one dimple showing. “Only when hot little chicks speak in an English accent to us.” I giggled and found myself flirting back.
“Well, you know, the hot American male voice has its momentsfor us too.” I blushed again, belying my confidence.
“Good to know.” He grinned, wiggling his brows at me. “You want to cut to the chase and go fuck me then?” His words shocked me. I was stunned, freaking out inside by his boldness, but I giggled and pretended not to care. He was too forward and too easy to flirt with.
I was desperate to change the subject as I felt pretty uncomfortable, and knew I was out of my depth. “Okay, enough of the chitchat, back to business.” I pointed athis notebook and tried to divert his attention. Alfie grinned again.
“Kinky business?” he teased and dug his elbow gently into my ribs. I rolled my eyes and laughed but blushed again.
I knew instantly, Alfie could cause me alotof trouble. He was so charming and sexy. I resisted the impulse I had to lean in and kiss him. “Are you open to suggestions?” I asked, trying hard to take his mind anywhere but on me.
“Always, are you?” he asked playfully, as his twinkling eyes held my gaze. He grinned wickedly at me again in a challenge.
“I’m thinking about your song.” I pretended to be curt with him. “I have a line that I think could be a good fit with what you’re singing about.” There was hesitancy in my voice as I said it.
“Oh? Great. Well, give it up, then we can go somewhere quiet, and I can have some great sex with your perfect little body.”
Fighting my embarrassment, I was determined to hold his gaze as he continued, “There are a good few fantasies already forming. I might need to act those out with you!”
Blushing yet again, I struggled to appear nonchalant.
“What makes you think I’d sleep with you?” I asked him playfully.
“Sweetheart, you definitely wouldn’t sleep with me!” he stated. “Be exhausted, yes, sleep… nope. I’d keep you awake for hours fucking you senseless.” He smirked.
My heart stopped and stuttered, before it kicked back in at a much faster speed than it was beating before. I was taken aback by his statement. I wanted to jump his bones to see if his actions were as true as his words made him sound. For all his corny lines, I had never been as turned on as I was in that moment.
“Music is the sound of feelings, and she listened to whathe felt.” He looked confused. I thought his mind had shifted as he looked kind of distracted at me.
“Huh?” he murmured, staring into space. He shook his head to look at me again.
“The song,”I stated, smiling.
Alfie continued to stare blankly at me. “The song?”
