Pink Lady: So this is a competition now? *confusedemoji*

SEXPERT: If that’s what it takes to get you back in my bed… hell, yes.

I was chuckling when I hit the call button. “Ah, I won,” he gloated when he answered. “You called me. You have to come back here now.” I thought he was kidding me.

“I’m not ringing because I want to come back.” Blushing crimson, I was glad he couldn’t see me.

Alfie screamed and pretended to be wounded. “That arrow just went right through my heart! You slay me, girl.” He chuckled. “Would now be the right time to tell you I don’t handle rejection well?”

I giggledagain at his fun side.Damn, he’s too cute!“It’s six in the morning, Alfie,” I replied, finding it incredulous that he was serious.

“Your point being what? You know how to tell the time? You’re not a morning person?” he teased with a smile in his voice. “But you’re up anyway, so… you might as well… you know…” He chuckled again then sounded pathetic.“Pleeeease?”

Sighing heavily, I said, “I have to start college today, Alfie.”

Alfie gave me an exaggerated sigh back, mocking me. “Well, what better way to start than being mellow after some good sex? You won’t be nervous, and everyone will remember you as the cool English girl on the first day.” Hearing the smile in his voice, I imagined a grin teasing his lips.

“Are you always this good at arguing your point?” I smiled.

“Only if it leads to orgasms and primal sex,” he answered in a mock seductive voice. He was too sexy to resist.

“Will you make me breakfast if I come?” I asked innocently.

“No, honey, I’ll make you breakfast because you’re here. There’s no pressure to come, but I’ll make you come anyway, several times if you’re lucky. See you in thirty.” Alfie ended the call before I could reply.

Leaving the condo a little after six, I drove back to his place. It wasn’t far from the college, and I told myself we wouldn’t be having sex again. Besides, I thought I might be able to get to know him a little better.

Alfie was beyond hot and I wanted to spend time with him. His voice melted me, and his body rocked me. Even when he stroked my cheek the last time, I had feelings no one has ever given me in my life before.

Rumors I’d heard about certain people having ‘the touch’, a connection between two people, seemed like a myth until it happened to me with him.

I suspectedit must have been the same for him, not because he was telling me so, but because I didn’t mistake his reactions to me, from that first time when we were behind the college buildings to when his belly quivered when I touched him.

I was covered in goose bumps before he’d even kissed me, and Iwas hooked. I knew I needed more of that touch, but at the same time, I repeatedly told myself, we wouldn’t last forever. Guys like him liked to share themselves too much.

Chapter Eight

BREAKFAST

When I arrived at Alfie’s, his front door was already open for me. “Through here, Lily.” I walked through the formal lounge with the vaulted ceiling and into the kitchen. I stopped in my tracks as soon as I saw him.

Alfie looked amazing. I felt breathless at the sight of him and thought that I couldn’t believe that a man like him, who could probably have anyone he wanted, chose me—for now.

Smirking at me, he stood in a relaxed stance, with his fuck-me hair fresh from the shower. He was wearing his low-slung jeans from earlier that were hanging low on his hips, bare torso and his ink made him look like a sexy, badass boy.

Leaningback casually against the countertop, his hips were resting along the edge, and he had a glass of orange juice in one hand. His other palm was resting flat on the granite countertop.

Shiny, clean, smooth skin tantalized me, and I had to fight the urge to stroke my hands over his body. I imagined it would feel cool and smooth to the touch after his shower.

Alfie passed me the glass of orange juice. “Breakfast!” he announced as his face broke into a seductive, slow, lopsided smile. Blushing when I took the glass, his fingers brushed against mine.

My skin reacted immediately, goose bumps radiating to all areas of my body. His eyes widened when he noticed, and he smiled. I blushed again. “Damn, so responsive to me,” he mumbled, curling my T-shirt in his fist to pull me closer to his face.

Alfie held my gaze for what seemed like an age, and I watched his eyes darken with passion. Starting to feel too self-conscious, I was about to look away when he dipped his head and let his lips brush mine briefly, before letting me go. “Hey,” he said, eyeing me carefully.

I tried to act like he’dhad little effect on me by focusing on, and gesturing at, the orange juice. “Breakfast, that’s it? Hmm… it’s not good enough, Alfie,” I mock sneered and shook my head at him, crossing my arms.

Alfie pushed himself off the counter by his backside, and his hips jutted toward me before he righted himself as he found his balance, obviously the guy had no idea how even a subtle movement could have sex appeal if observed by the right person.
