“I mean it,” he said, when she looked doubtful that it was true. “I’ve never seen a more gorgeous woman before.”

Reaching up, she ran her fingers across his cheek, and smiled at him.

“Well, big Marine,” she began. “I happen to think you’re the hottest thing I’ve seen in and out of clothes. I prefer the latter for obvious reasons.”

He grinned.

“I mean, I can get half naked with you in the vehicle. Would that count?” he teased.

She wanted that.

Their time was fleeting.

Rayna asked about the suspect list in hopes Elizabeth had none so she could have more time with Caspian. How did she beg him to stay?

How?

Well, without sounding needy.

Instead, she wanted to make a moment for both of them. For when he was gone.

For when she was alone again.

Jumping up, she wrapped her legs around his hips, catching him off guard.

“Do I get to pick the half I want naked?” she asked.

He blinked.

It was so bizarre to have a woman flirt back with him, and actually want to be naked with him. Normally, it was a one-way street.

“Uh, yes?”

She jerked her head at the big, blacked out ride that they’d been busted about before.

They’d been talking in it earlier, but now, she was more than willing to do the crime they’d been accused of by his co-workers.

Sue her.

Caspian got her turned on and her panties wet.

“Let’s have some fun.”

At first, his gut instinct was to say no because he was working, but technically, he was guarding her.

Right?

And he could do both at the same time.

Instead of saying no, he took that moment to make it a memory for himself.

Hopefully, this would be the beginning of them. When the team was busting his ass, she didn’t get angry.

That was always a good sign.

While he would stay here for her, he’d never let his family go.

Ever.
