“Apparently, the rez police were looking for a missing tribe member, and in the process, they found a pit of bones on the land.”

He only hoped it wouldn’t be like that one case where bones were found on sacred burial grounds. They’d almost lost Elizabeth on that one, and they’d found out that there had been another Blackhawk sibling.

Until he’d been handled.
She continued.
“They have multiple victims, and they need us to handle it. I’m taking this case because we need to get our people up to speed with how to handle Native American issues without offending them.”
Yep…
It was about to be interesting there.
“I’m absolutely taking this case. It’s a good way to distract me.”
Why was he not surprised?
Of course, she was going to jump right in.
Ethan knew this was her way of distracting herself so that she could focus.
They’d been back a matter of hours, and already, the crazy was starting.

Well, it looked like the rest of them were too. If there was a pit of bones on the rez, Callen would be handling the council, and she would be handling the crime scene.
Since he wasn’t letting his family do this alone, he’d ride shotgun with his brother to make sure the council knew they were back, and their plan.
Elizabeth kept going.
“I’ll get Tony ready to go, and have Gryphen get our body armor out of the trunk. It looks like Chris is going to have a busy day inAutopsy One—the original. I’m on the hunt for a killer.”
And that hung there.
Now, he had a reason to be nervous.
Most of their security was at the cabin watching their children, and they were going to be down to two bodyguards with a lot of bodies to…guard.
Yeah, that wasn’t safe.
And he knew it.
“We need to see if the cabin can spare one of the Archangels,” he admitted.
She stared at him.
“Where will you be?” she asked.
