Katie follows my directions with the upmost care and I could kiss her for that. Katie has always had my back and I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure she gets paid back for everything she’s done for me and the girls she helps.
Once the car is stopped and parked, we slide out of the car quietly. The last thing we need is for any loud noises to spook Raul. If he’s already killed Paul, he wouldn’t care about killing Mason, too.
“Yeah. Lucian took a train. She wanted it. So young, so pure. She wasn’t after we were done with her.”
The images of being violently jumped in, flood my mind. All of the images I have blocked out of my mind, have found their ways back into my mind’s eye. I can see that night so vividly. The movie of the young girl being jumped into a gang by taking a train of experienced men, makes me want to throw up.
It makes me want to throw up and then it makes me want to kill this bastard. Kill him for taking the last bit of humanity I had in my body until I met Mason.
Before Mason, I wouldn’t have thought twice about killing Raul right here. Now, I need to make it count. What the hell has this man done to me?
“You’re a fuckin’ asshole!” Mason growls.
“I might be an asshole, but at least I know what her pussy feels like! You’re going to take me to Lucian’s and then I’m going to get what I want.”
“Too late,” I call out.
Chapter Twenty-Six
Mason
Raul’s gonna die. I don’t care what I have to do to make him feel my wrath for what he did to Lucian all of those years ago, but something has to be done. He raped her! What kind of animal rapes a teenaged girl?
Hearing Lucian’s voice is enough for me to snap out of my anger haze. I want to run up to the woman and pull her into my arms to make sure she’s still okay. Then I want to spank her little ass for disobeying her promise to stay in her apartment until all of this is over.
Lucian’s standing off to the side with her gun trained on Raul’s head. She has a dirty smile on her face that promises violence and mayhem. Everything the woman is.
Everything I wish she wasn’t.
“Are you telling stories, Raul?” She taunts him with a smirk.
Raul looks over at her and then back at me to wink. “I knew you weren’t dead.”
She shrugs and so does Katie. Katie looks a little too uncomfortable with this. I can tell she’s not liking the confrontation by how her eyes following the conversation from Lucian back to Raul.
“How did you know that?” Lucian asks.
Raul’s smile on his face is enough to piss me off. “I knew I wouldn’t get lucky enough to have you dead. Plus, why would you give your gang to some fuck nut who doesn’t know the first thing about how to run smack.”
“I did what I had to do. You left me no choice! How dare you steal from me!” Lucian’s fists tighten and loosen just as her knuckles turn white. She’s pissed and this is when everything is going to end.
Raul’s smile drops a little but he gains a little distance from her. He’s standing directly in front of me with his gun aimed at my forehead. He is no longer looking at Lucian but staring me down.
“Should we tell your boyfriend all about you? All about the little gangster girl who refuses to let anyone touch her. Who has to be forced to give it up? Should we tell him how you wanted it just as bad as we did?”
Hearing him talk about having sex with Lucian isn’t doing anything for me besides moving my lunch. I know she must have been with other people before me. I’m not stupid. I’m also not stupid in thinking she didn’t get jumped into the gang. What I don’t want to hear ishow manytimes she got jumped into the gang.
“You can tell him everything you want. What Mason and I do is none of your business, Raul.”
“Should I tell him how you liked the train? How you were enjoying it so much that you passed out?”
Raul’s eyes never leave mine. I want to look at Lucian to make sure she’s physically okay, but the gun in my face is a major hinderance.
Katie speaks up next. “We know what you did, Raul. Let him go.”
“Let him go? I want to know why you chose him over me. I want to know what’s so great about this loser that you wouldn’t even give me the time of day. Tell me right now or I shoot him!” Raul all but yells.
My eyes are searching Lucian’s eyes. I’m trying to see if there is any good in her eyes at this moment but they are haunted. Everything about the woman who I have been falling for is haunted. She’s staring at the man who has tried to break her with violence.
