He offered a smile before turning his back to me, pressing the numbers six and fourteen before the elevator slowly took flight. The couple kissed and touched on each other like we weren’t present, and the operator kept his back turned, seeming to ignore us all.

“Have a good time,” the woman said when the cart reached their floor and they side stepped into each other, as they got off. Well, in my mind I heard “have a good time,” but in reality, she may have said “have a good night.” Either way, I felt like what I was about to do was written all over my face.

I backed into the corner of the elevator once the doors were closed, the loud exhale escaping my full lips the second I felt the elevator move again. My heart pounded hard so hard I could actually hear it beating outside of my body. Each floor the elevator crept up, the pounding increased, and my hands sweat. I closed my eyes tightly, hoping it would ease my mind.

“Ma’am, this is floor fourteen.” I heard, prompting me to open my eyes, and by his expression, this hadn’t been his first time telling me.

“Sorry,” I muttered, hanging my head, stepping from the elevator.

“Thank you.” I tossed back over my shoulder just before the door had closed. I wasn’t sure what I was thankful for. I mean, all he did was press some buttons.

I looked at the closed elevator doors and the long hall I’d have to travel and contemplated turning around once again; I still had time. My foot was lifted in the air to turn around and back away, but it was like I heard a small voice say,You only live once; enjoy the moment. With that, I held my head high and headed down the hallway. My nerves still had the best of me, but it seemed the further from the elevator and the closer to Rashad’s room I got, the calmer I became.Standing in front of the door, I lifted my balled fist.

“Fuck it,” I mumbled just before knocking. Instinctively, I took a step back, awaiting my knock to be answered.

Only a few seconds had passed, but when I couldn’t hear even a little commotion from the opposite side of the door, I assumed Rashad had called it a night.

“Welp,” I spoke just above a whisper, turning to leave.

My feet had barely shuffled when I heard the light creak of the door, prompting me to stop. When Rashad didn’t speak, I turned slowly, my eyes instantly meeting his awaiting ones. His eyes were glossed with approval.

Rashad stood shirtless, displaying his defined chest with many beautiful tattoos etched across it. Basketball shorts rested low on his waist, showing the band to his boxers and also effortlessly showcasing his perfect Adonis belt. His bare feet slipped into his house shoes. He was much more relaxed in his attire, but God’s creation was still fine beyond words.

“The invite still stands?” I stupidly asked. He’d only invited me up an hour ago, so unless he’d entertained someone else since then, it had to still stand.

“Come in.” Rashad spoke the words and also did the head gesture, something I found sexy.

Like a fire had been lit under my feet, I faced Rashad fully, damn near jumping in his arms. I needed him. The moment our bodies collided, an electric current, like our first run in, shot through my body, awakening many things.

“Glad you could make it.” His voice was low and sexy, the vibration from his chest shaking mine. Rashad kissed me after his words.

Our tongues had just gotten introduced, but they danced a tune that seemed all too familiar to them. Never breaking the kiss, Rashad hoisted me from my feet, backing into his suite, the door closing behind us. The door latch closed, and he pushed me against the back of it, dominating the kiss.

Rashad wasn’t wasting any time as he continued kissing me while removing my clothes. Before I could register it, I was completely naked and engulfed in Rashad’s grasp as my body pressed against the cold wall. He broke the kiss.

“You good?” he asked, throwing me off.

I was back on my feet and breathless.

“Yes,” I whispered.

Rashad’s strong yet soft hand found the side of my face, stroking lightly. Instinctively, I rested my face in his hand. He felt safe.

“You’re so fucking captivating.” He casually complimented me, causing me to blush before dropping my head. “Nah, don’t do that,” he spoke, placing his finger under my chin, lifting it so our eyes could meet again. “You nervous?”

Hell yeah!I thought. Hell, if my expression didn’t tell it, I knew he could hear my heart racing, and the way my body shook it for sure gave it away.

“You’re not?”

“Not even a little.” He smiled. He was so confident.

“How could you not be? I don’t mean about the sex. I mean about it happening with someone you just met,” I said. “You have one-night stands often?” I mumbled, almost afraid of the answer.

“You feel familiar… like you’re already mine.”

His response caused me to blush more and almost drop my head again, but he caught me, pressing his lips against mine. Rashad kissed me more passionately than before. I wasn’t sure if he was running game just to get the pussy faster, or if his words were true. Either way, he had me.

Releasing the kiss, Rashad slowly got on one knee with his eyes still on me before he lifted my leg, tossing it over his shoulder.
