“Why the sudden interest in him, then?”

“I’m starting to recognize everyone else, but I wasn’t sure who he was. Also, he’s Peter’s type.”

Ronan grinned.“You’re pushing a bit too hard, aren’t you?”

“Maybe, but it’s not doing Peter any good to continue obsessing over Lou.Moving here would help him find his mate.”

“Whoever his mate is, they might not live here.”

“Maybe not, but what are the odds that he’ll meet them in the city?He hasn’t until now. Here, there are plenty of single shifters who might be the person he’s looking for.”

They also might not be, but at the very least, they would be better than Lou.Ronan only had to deal with the asshole once, and it had been one time too many.Luckily, it seemed like Lou had taken Ronan’s threat of hunting him down if he ever came anywhere near Peter again to heart.

The sound of a car approaching made both of them turn.Peter waved at them, and for once, he was smiling. That had to be a good sign, right?

Vincent grabbed Ronan’s hand and pulled him down the porch steps.“Come on.”

“Where are we going?”

“Well, we should probably help these people unload our stuff, but also, I want you to introduce me to Braden.”

“I can do that later.”

“Or you can do it now while Peter’s coming toward me.”

Ronan pulled Vincent into his arms.“You’re playing matchmaker?”

“Someone has to.”

“Are you sure about that?”

Vincent sighed.“I just want Peter to be happy.”

“And you think he’d be happy moving here?”

“I know he won’t be happy on his own.He talks a good game, but I give him two weeks before he’s complaining about not being able to see me often enough.”

“That doesn’t mean he wants to move.”

“Oh, he will.I’ll make sure of it.”

“It sounds like a threat.”

“It’s not one yet.”

Ronan wasn’t sure how he’d survived four years without his mate, but he was glad he didn’t have to anymore. His life without Vincent had been painful. His life since they’d found each other again was anything but.

They reached Braden as Peter got out of his car and came toward them.Vincent grinned, and Ronan didn’t have a choice. How was he supposed to say no to his mate?

“Braden, this is Vincent,” he announced.

Braden grinned. He always had a smile on his face. The only time Ronan had seen him not smiling was when he was working.

Braden offered Vincent his hand.“It’s good to meet you.I know way too many things about you not to have met you yet.”

Vincent laughed.“I suppose you don’t usually do background checks on people you know.”

“I don’t, but I’m glad this one went well.”
