A steel rod of desire.

Nervously, Sophie held on to him, grazing over his flesh, picking up the pace of her hand movements as his groans intensified.

Never had her heart thundered so loudly.

Never had her body felt so alive.

“I want you,” she murmured before she even realized what she was saying. “I need you, George.”

He balanced himself between her thighs, staring at her with a fire burning in his eyes. He said nothing as they finally peeled the clothing off of one another, while gasping with a desperate need to really feel one another in ways that they never had before, in ways that Sophie had never experienced with another person.

How could this be wrong when it felt so right?

“Sophie,” he murmured in between kisses. “I want you too.”

His words ricocheted through her just as he did with his very first thrust lightly inside of her. It was a strange and unexpected sensation that tore the air out of Sophie’s lungs, even though he was clearly being very careful with her. But it was also a feeling that she could not get enough of.

She already wanted so much more from him.

With the next thrust, Sophie wrapped her legs around George’s back so she could really cling to him. This also allowed her to control some of the speed and the depth of the way he plunged deep inside of her. She wanted more of him, all of him, every inch.

It did not take long before the toe-curling pleasure had started to creep up Sophie’s spine once more. Every time their bodies met, filling the room with the sounds of their passion, Sophie could feel herself slipping into burning hot blissful joy all over again. It was a gorgeous, glorious feeling that George was intensifying with every passing second. She was in heaven, her heart pounded only for this man, and she absolutely loved this bond she had with him.

Only this time, she was not alone.

She was not the only one crying out with bliss.

The sensation of George’s body stiffening as the pleasure started to claim him too was intoxicating. She could not get enough of touching him all over, trying to feel every part of him as they reached the peak of pleasure.

They cried out in unison as the tsunami of bliss swept through her once more, calling out one another’s names as they burned in heavenly excitement. Feeling George vibrating with desire only amplified the heat rushing through Sophie. She loved having this soul-deep connection with him, it tightened their bond, and made her open up her heart to falling for him even deeper.

She felt like she was soaring, floating higher than air, drowning in a glorious sensation that she never wanted to end. Clinging to George, and feeling the intense safety that only he could give her only made everything so much better.

This was the man for her.

She knew it now without a shadow of a doubt.

This was the man she wanted to marry, to spend the rest of her life with, to love forever, and she could not wait to tell her parents that he was most definitely going to propose to her. Because how could he not after this? It waseverything.

Chapter 22

George hated sneaking out on a sleeping Sophie in the early hours of the morning, but he did not want to get caught sleeping in the same bed as her. After the talk he had with Matthew the previous night, he had been made even more aware that he needed to be careful around her. Especially if hewasgoing to return to Sweden, leaving her behind…

Which was why he never should have ended up in Sophie’s bed last night. Even if it felt absolutely wonderful to be wrapped up in her arms. He had never been so happy in his life, his body had never felt so intense and powerful. He never wanted last night to end, even if it should not have happened at all.

He only wanted to check in on her. To make sure that she was alright. He was not quite sure how they ended up succumbing to the heat that surged between them. George felt wild and a little confused while he left her room… and truth be told, he still did not feelrightnow that he was walking in the front door to Sebastian’s house.

He knew that he was going to have to face the consequences for this, and that was something he was not ready for.

“There you are!” Sebastian called out excitedly the moment he saw his friend. “I have been worried about you. That storm last night was something else! Did you stay with Gregory? Did you manage to do that without killing one another? I cannot imagine you two spending that much time together without it getting ugly.”

George chuckled awkwardly. “No, that is not what happened. I ended up staying with Matthew instead, which was good because I have not managed to see him since I have been back here in London.”

Sebastian cocked his head curiously to one side. “Then why do you have such a strange look on your face? What happened?”

George had not necessarily been planning on telling anyone anything, but he was exhausted with trying to keep everything to himself. He very much needed Sebastian’s advice on what he should do next. Especially because he was feeling so terribly guilty about everything.

“Oh, Sebastian. I might have crossed a line last night, with Sophie.”
