“Never have I ever,” she quickly said.

He lifted a brow at her, and she spoke up.

“You’re not chickening out, are you?”

“Hell no,” he said. “Just making sure you can handle whatever this is.”

She placed her hand on her chest and let out a sarcastic laugh. “I’m sure I can. You go first,” she told him as she uncorked the bottle.

He thought for a moment. “Never have I ever bought a cactus.”

She narrowed her eyes, then drank. “Oh, so we’re playing like kids? Alrighty, I see how it is. Never have I ever worked past 9 at night.”

Kabir grabbed the bottle from her and took a big gulp. “If we keep this up, we’ll both be trashed in twenty minutes.”

Leaning over, she whispered, “That’s the point.”

“Okay. Well… then, I guess it’s up to me to change this pace. Never have I ever climbed out of a window.”

“Nope. I’ve never ever sneaked out.” She shook her head.

“Seriously, princess? I thought the troublemaker in you would have done it.”

“Well, I didn’t. Now it’s my turn. Never have I ever kissed two different people in a single day.”

He held up the bottle and took a big gulp. “It’s a long story, but in short, I had a girlfriend in college, but another girl kissed me because she was jealous of my then-girlfriend.”

“Girls were crazy about you from that time, huh?” Kyra rolled her eyes, wanting to punch the bitches who’d ever kissed him.

“Never have I ever had a one-night stand.” Kabir extended the bottle to her.

“Umm... I haven’t.” Kyra focused on the wooden panelling on the wall.

“How can anyone not have a one-night stand?” Kabir asked, wanting to get into the nitty-gritty of Kyra’s life, hoping to learn more about her.

“Not every girl is as eager to have one-night stands.” She huffed, not meeting his gaze. She didn’t want to talk about it. Her face started to burn with embarrassment as she wrung her hands.

“But you’re twenty-two, right? Then how come..” Kabir should have let it go, but his mouth seemed to have lost its filter.

“Because I don’t want my first time to be a cheap one-night stand,” Kyra responded, eating the roasted marshmallow. She moaned in delight as the crispy, delectable crust mingled with the toasty, soft, mushy centre. She diverted the topic as she spoke, “So good.” She found Kabir staring at her with an unreadable look and felt herself go hot all over her body. “It’s really good.”

“No... back it up. You are a…virgin?” He stuttered.

“Yes. Do you have any problem with that?” She slanted a brow.

“No. I just...”

“This was really fun.” She smiled tightly. “I guess we should just wrap it up and call it a night. Thank you for doing this for me, Kabir.”

Kabir was stupefied. He couldn’t stop staring at her. This was beyond his wildest dreams. His thoughts began to move twice as quickly in response to her declaration. She’d lowered her head, shielding her face behind a veil of hair.

Why hadn’t a guy claimed her already? Why did she look so embarrassed about it? Why was Kabir ecstatic about what she’d just said?

“It’s no big deal. Anyone would have done this.” Kabir’s voice was gravelly.

“Well, not all guys are earnest. Some merely pretend to be nice for their own benefit.” Kyra scoffed.

“What happened, princess?” Kabir tilted his head.
