“I never liked Raina. She was always so irritating. Kabs this, Kabs that,” Vaayu grumbled.
“No one liked her,” Miraspoke as she joined them. “I wanted to get inside the recording, grab her and smash her face against the wall for the way she threatened Ky that day.”
“How did Nitya’s scumbag boyfriend make a video of them? And how the fuck did Raina get her hands on it?” Vaayu frowned.
“I don’t know. Nitya was inconsolable when she got to know about it. But now, she is strangely silent. I don’t know what’s going on inside her head.” Mira bit her lip.
“She seemed fine when she barged inside.” Kabir thought aloud.
“She is an expert at hiding her real feelings. I know she must be suffering inside. She is ashamed of what happened. Being the object of somebody’s sick joke is unsettling.” Ruhi commented as she brought a tray laden with breakfast to the dining table.
“Nitya will be fine. We have appointed Rudra to work on it.He and his team will find a way to hack into her laptop and every other device available. We can retrieve that video and get rid of it permanently. I can’t wait to send that evil woman to prison.” Adil assured her.
“Rudra is helping us investigate this?” Nitya asked as she came out of the kitchen.
“Yes. The one who helped us with Mira and Ruhi,” Vaayu answered.
“Oh...” Nitya’s face went blank in an instant.
“He is the best out there. We won’t have to worry about anything.” Vaayu nodded at her.
“What happened, Tiya?” Mira noticed Nitya had suddenly gone silent.
“Nothing. I just feel horrible. I’m Kyra’s big sister, and what a terrible big sister I am. She is trying to protect me. ME. The one who is so careless that I didn’t even know my boyfriend made a sex tape of us.” Nitya cupped her mouth as she breathed hard, and more tears fell from her eyes.
“Nitya, please. Don’t cry, dear. I know it’s tough. But as Adil said, no one will ever see that thing because Rudra will delete that video from every device. We will also find that bastard boyfriend of yours, and we’ll beat the shit out of him.” Ruhi consoled Nitya.
“I want to kill Raina.” Adil slammed his palm on the table.
“What about the fraudulent contract Raina used to threaten Kyra?” Mira questioned.
“Raina has no access to anything confidential, period. I didn't share any work-related details with her.” Clarified Kabir
"Rudra is also working on that as well. We will soon find out if someone from the office assisted Raina in developing it. Don't worry, my love. Everything will be resolved soon. Adil embraced Mira.
“Guys, we have to do something.” Mira buried her face in Adil’s chest. “Kyra is leaving tonight.”
Kabir was strangely silent for a moment. “I think I have a plan.” Kabir looked at everyone.
“What plan?” Adil arched his brow.
Kabir then laid outhis carefully thought-out plan to exposeRainapublically. It was a simple plan, and everyone knew it would work for them.
“That’s brilliant, Bira.” Vaayu fist-bumped him.
“So, let’s tell Kyra the truth about Raina and cancel her plans of going to the US,” Adil said.
“No,” Kabir answered. “I don’t want to tell her anything right now.”
“But why?” Mira glared.
“Because, Mira, I want to put an end to everything that has caused these problems between us. She believes Raina is pregnant with my child, which is nonsense. I want to meet Kyra with evidence of Raina’s lies in my hands. I want to make sure there is no room for misunderstanding between us as I beg for her forgiveness and profess my love for her.”
“I never thought I’d see the day when Kabir Oberoi is smitten,” Adil smirked.
“You should thank me for bringing Kyra into your life, Kabir.” Mira teased him.
Kabir halted in front of her and clasped her hands in his. “Mira, I will thank you from the bottom of my heart, but first, I need another huge favour from you. You are the only one who can help me.”
