I could no longer find any air.
It was gone—from my lungs, from around me.

“You do realize we’re about to walk across the stage in approximately twenty minutes?” I didn’t want to push the back of my head against the wall; I didn’t want to mess up my hair.But once his fingers dipped below the silk of my panties, I couldn’t help myself.
I was pushing.
And squirming.
“That gives me plenty of time.”
My hands reached up, flattening above my head. “And our families are going to be in the crowd, so we can’t walk out there looking all sweaty and sexed up.”
He laughed as his lips skimmed my neck. “Sexed up?”

“Oh, you’re going to be red.” He kissed across my jaw and my neck, his knees bending so he no longer towered over me, even in my heels, and he got himself in a kneeling position. “And you’re going to be fucking sweaty.”
My eyes widened as he put the gown over his head, disappearing beneath it. From there, he moved quickly, lifting the bottom of my dress and going underneath that too.
I was instantly consumed with the feel of his hair, the presence of his face, the pressure of his fingers.
“Rhett …” I was looking down, but it was pointless. I couldn’t see anything, aside from the movement of his head.
But I could feel his lips against my inner thighs.

“I want …” My voice died off when his tongue hit that spot, the one at the very top that he was now stroking. But that wasn’t the only thing he was doing. He was using his fingers as well, circling them around me before he dipped inside. “You.”
