“At the end of this tunnel, we’ll find a shaft — perhaps once containing some form of lift. We take that up and we’ll be there in four stories.”
“Good. Communicate the map to the others. They can meet us there.”
Reaching the shaft, Deena watches the pirates begin to climb up around her nervously. “I…I don’t think I can do that. I don’t know how to climb.”
“Well, to start, you’ll need to put down your blaster. Pity you don’t have more arms with which to carry it. I can see how your impediment would prevent you from climbing easily.”
She removes her hand from mine with a jerk and hugs her arms around herself. I do my best not to ogle her exposed chest, which means I fail entirely and stare as much as I like. “Impediment,” she mutters. “Don’t you mean my defect?”
“Having only two arms is hardly a defect. Voraxians have only two arms and I guarantee you that none would be daunted by such a climb. You should be able to manage this. Look. There’s even a ladder here,” I say, banging on a series of metal rungs built into the wall inside of the shaft to my left. “But since I desire to feel your body pressed against mine, I won’t harass you like I would another pirate, but give you the option of being carried.”
I bend in close and brush her blood-stained hair back over her shoulders. I glance down at her chest, those full, ripe breasts even riper than many Niahhorru females’. Utterly compatible with our species. The likeness is extraordinary.
Her mouth is so near to mine and it’s parted just enough for me to imagine that she wants to be kissed by me. I stroke her bottom lip with one of my thumbs while two of my arms circle her waist and lift her up. She drops her blaster and I catch it with my fourth arm, affixing it to the sling on my back.
“Careful not to circle your legs all the way around me. I wouldn’t want you to get scratched on my tines.” I brush my lips over hers as I lift her high against my chest. The act is over so quickly it might have seemed unintentional to the adrenaline-dazed and battle-weary-confused, of which Deena is both.
But make no mistake in thinking that I did not immediately memorize the pressure of her impossibly soft lips against my much harder ones, or the taste of her steeped in blood.Lovely. Just lovely.
She seems to have gone spontaneously mute, which is fine, because it leaves more of my mind free to concentrate on the lush feel of her curves pressed against my body. It’s so easy just to sink into her. Like she was made for me. Her knees lock against my sides and the insides of her thighs shake as I take the rungs of the ladder in my two upper hands and climb, feeling rather foolish as I approach the climb two-handed, like a human would.
Most of my pirates are long ahead of me, but I don’t rush this. So far, there aren’t any carpet creatures here and Deena has her hands on my shoulders and is holding onto me in a way that I like far, far too much.
The only trouble is my cock which, the moment I get stimulated enough, will push free of its sheath and begin to weep semen all over the place. Not exactly the first in-person impression I had hoped to make with my mate-who-does-not-know-yet-that-she’s-my-mate.
She chews on her bottom lip and I focus on it too hard. I will need to say something to keep my cock under control before it’s too late. “Pity for such a perfect lip.”
Her body tenses even tighter around mine. She’s still shaking. She’s still scared. I wonder…is she frightened of me? I don’t like that but I’m simultaneously unsure how to fix it. I will need to be careful with her emotions even more so than with her body. “Wh…what?”
“I said, pity for such a perfect lip. You’re chewing it raw.”
“Oh. Shrov.” She keeps her face turned to the side, but it does little to prevent me from watching her openly. We are so close. Eye-level in ways we aren’t when we’re both standing.
My lower hands have a hold of her full bottom and I make no attempt at all to distance myself from the softness of those curves. I wonder if her squirming and shaking has anything to do with the placement of my hands on her thighs. I tilt my head, watching her as I climb, trying to figure out where the singing fool and the battle-hardened warrior have gone and why they have left me now with this timid version of a female I know to be fearless.
“Is it because you’ve seen me for the first time and are displeased?” I ask her evenly.
Her gaze flashes to mine and widens in alarm. I can see her clearly. I wonder, with her human eyesight, if she can see me at all in the darkness surrounding us, illuminated only by the muted glow of the torch on her wrist. Its glow makes it more difficult for me to see her through my lunar shield, so I retract it and then lift the protective film that covers my eyes so that I am just as vulnerable now as she is.
Her pulse quickens. I can feel it in her chest, hammering hard through her skin against mine.
I think my pulse may quicken, too.
I want to kiss her. Rut her. Savage her. Wreck her. Move her. Just like I want to be moved.
I feel more exposed than I expected watching her like this in the dimness, where her little light reflects off of the curve of her cheek, making it glow like the sun’s reflection off of a moon. She is so beautiful.
“Why…why did you stop climbing?” She says, voice soft and catching, but at least not with those horriblehick cupsshe had previously.
I laugh softly and her heart beats faster, which makes my heart beat faster. “I didn’t realize I had. Your beauty prevents me from concentrating on two things at once.”
Holding onto the rung above both our heads with just one hand so that I can brush my fingers over her forehead, but she flinches back. “Don’t make fun of me.”
“Make fun of you?”
“Yeah, I know what I look like. Don’t call me that word.” Her gaze genuflects and she fidgets like she’s trying to get away from me, but has nowhere to go.
My gaze drops inadvertently to her chest as she wriggles and my blood heats. My cock poses its threat and, by will alone, I batter it back mercilessly. I continue climbing as I turn Deena’s words over once, and then a second time just to be sure I’ve understood what she said and moreover, what she meant.
