“Chaos, good to see you son. How have you been?” he asks.
“Good,” I reply shortly.
He’s looking a little nervous and doesn’t seem to be his usual self. I’ve known this man for years and the strange vibe he’s giving off is causing me to be a little concerned.
“All good with you?”
“Yeah, all good,” he says but his eyes say something different.
“Right, let’s get to business,” Dyno interrupts.
I give him an unimpressed look.
Disrespectful fucker.
“Alright Dyno, you in a rush?” Mayhem asks, clearly as unimpressed with him as me.
“Just want to get this over with, shit to do,” he growls back.
I’m sick of this fucker already and I have no tolerance for disrespect, which is what he’s showing not only us but his own club too right now.
“Wanna show a little fucking respect. Wouldn’t want to damage a long partnership now, would you?” I growl back at him.
“Dyno, fucking step back,” Judge snaps at him.
Clearly, his own Prez has had enough too. Archer moves a little closer to his Prez but not in a stance to protect him from us, no. This is a stance to protect his Prez from Dyno. Proving all is not good inside Tribal Bones MC at all. Dyno takes a step back, but by the look on his face, he isn’t happy.
“Sorry Chaos. Here is the final payment.” Judge says handing me an envelope.
I hand it off to Mayhem to check.
“Thanks, Judge, don’t usually meet like this to collect payment,” I ask, intrigued as to why he wanted to meet.
“I know but as Mayhem will find out I’m a little short this month,” he confesses.
I look to Mayhem who nods as he finishes checking the payment.
“About twenty thousand short,” Mayhem advises.
“Judge, you want to explain this?” I ask.
“I’ve never been short before Chaos and this is the final payment. The club is struggling financially at the moment. I will get you the extra twenty thousand, I just need a little extra time.”
I look at Mayhem who is staring at Judge with a very unhappy look on his face. My face matches his and so does Riot’s. We run a business, not a charity. We’re not usually in the business of giving people second chances but I might consider it due to our history, however, twenty thousand is a lot to be short.
“Twenty thousand is a lot, Judge.”
“I know Chaos, I just need a little more time. What do you say I give you collateral for it?”
Okay, now he has my attention. What could he possibly offer me that’s worth twenty thousand or more? It’s at that moment Psycho appears next to me with a strange look on his face.
“What’s the collateral?” Psycho asks.
Judge turns to Archer and nods and he takes his phone out and sends a text.
“Judge, what the fuck is going on?” I demand, getting really pissed off with this now.
It’s a few minutes later, that Ford, a member of Tribal Bones, appears with the shock of my life. There stood with him, is the redhead that I’ve been seeing everywhere today.
