I can only nod, as I’m unable to speak.

“We need to go,” someone says.

I feel a hand on my shoulder, gently pulling me away from my dad.

“Sorry to break this up, but we got to go,” Chaos says in a soft voice.

I step back and wipe the tears from my eyes. Once I’ve got myself together, I step back to Chaos’s side.

“You look after my little girl and I’ll be in touch,” Dad says before he turns and walks away.

“Let’s move quickly,” another man says.

We all turn and start heading to the campground. Chaos is in front of me and his men are surrounding us, forming a protective ring. We get a little way away and another man appears out of nowhere and joins us. I have a death grip on the back of Chaos’s cut, clinging to him for dear life. I wonder what type of men they are and what they expect from me. The unknown is making me wary to trust them too much, but then again, the way they surround me, offering protection, they can’t be all bad, right? I guess only time will tell.

I look up at the man on my right, he has his hair long on top and shaved on the sides. He must feel me looking at him as he turns to look at me. He has the most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen. He gives me a wink with a cheeky smile. I can’t help but smile back at him as he’s putting me at ease. We reach a circle of tents with a fire going in the middle.

“This is my tent, why don’t you get some rest, while I talk to my brothers. You’re safe here with us Olivia.” Chaos tells me while running his hands up and down my arms.

“Thank you,” I say and crawl into the tent we stopped in front of.

I lay down and try to process what has happened tonight. I can hear men’s voices but not what they are saying so they must have moved away from the tents a little. The voices are gentle and soothing, and before I know it, I feel myself drifting off to sleep.

I’mnot sure how long I’m asleep when I feel someone in the tent, slowly opening my eyes, I see Chaos looking through a bag. I watch him for a few minutes, his arms flex as he rummaged through his things. The short sleeve of his t-shirt is wrapped tightly around his arm muscles.

Yeah, I know. Sorry I have a bit of a thing for strong, muscular arms.

He’s crouched down on his hunches and his thigh muscles strain as they keep him upright, he then looks over at me.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you.”

“That’s okay. Do you want your tent back?” I say as I start to leave.

“No, you stay there. I’ll sleep outside. It’s safer for you here, but if you need anything, I’ll just be outside plus a couple of prospects are taking turns to stand guard,” he says as he grabs a rolled-up sleeping bag.

“Are you sure? I don’t want to put you out.”

“Darlin, you’re not putting me out. Stay in the tent, I’ll be outside. You need to sleep as we’re leaving first thing in the morning,” he warns as he turns and leaves the tent.

I lay back down and curl up with the pillow. It smells of aftershave, a manly one which suits him, more of a musky scent. I snuggle the pillow and let the smell help me relax and drift back off to sleep.

It’searly the next morning and I can hear a lot of activity going on outside the tent. I stretch and work the kinks out of my muscles and slowly make my way outside.

“Morning sleepyhead,” the dark-haired man from yesterday greets me.

“Morning,” I reply shyly.

“Don’t be shy, you’re good now. I’m Riot, the Sergeant At Arms for this bunch of delinquents,” he says making me laugh.

“Yeah, and he’s the biggest delinquent out of all of us,” another replies.

Riot laughs and flicks the finger at him.

“I’m Mayhem sweetheart, VP,” he says but I can’t stop looking at his lovely thick hair, which is a gorgeous chestnut colour.

“Don’t let our Prez catching you giving VP the eye,” Riot chuckles, causing me to duck my head down so I’m looking at the ground

“Fucker, now you’ve made her feel awkward,” Mayhem says, punching Riot in the arm.
