“Erm, what payment?”
“Judge, we just had a visit from Dyno and a few of your men. He paid the remaining balance.”
More silence
“Chaos, I would check that money, it hasn’t come from me or the club.”
Psycho disappears out the door, returning a few moments later with Dolla.
“Check the money.”
Nodding, Dolla puts the money on a table and starts checking it all over. Declan hands him a light from the draw in the desk, which Dolla uses to check all the notes.
“All present and correct. Its legit,” he tells us.
“Put it straight in the safe,” Chaos tells him and Dolla leaves the room with the money.
“You hear that Judge. All legal tender and in full.”
“Where the fuck has that sneaky bastard got that much money from? He’s not been at the clubhouse for a few days.”
“That’s for you to find out.”
“Yeah, I’m working on it, but shit is not good here.”
“If you need help, let me know. I’ll see what Keys has managed to find.”
“Thanks, keep me posted. How’s Olivia?”
Chaos gives me a look and I smile back but keep quiet.
“She’s good, making her my Ol’ lady.”
I can’t hide the shock from my face. I know we agreed to try and see where the this took us but Jesus’ fuck. Making me his Ol’ lady is a big deal and one we have not talked about yet.
“You best take care of her and make her happy, but Chaos, if this is not something she wants, then I will be there as fast as I can to bring her home.”
“She is home Judge. I would give my life to make her happy.”
The sincerity on his face makes my heart sing.
“That’s all a father wants to hear. Keep me informed.”
Ending the call without another word, Chaos stands from the desk.
“Welcome to the family Liv,” Riot says as he kisses me on the head.
Everyone leaves except for me and Chaos.
“You going to give me chance and be my Ol’ lady Liv?”
Seriously, he wants this?
“Declan, that is a big step. We’ve only just agreed to give us a try. What happens if you realise, we are not suited?”
He comes around the desk and scoops me into his arms.
“I know you’re my future.”
